We already seen the issue on "Gundams good or bad?" Complicated. Gund Tech was originally medical tech that ended up selling out to a military company because they couldn't find more funding. We see dozens of test pilots who became brain dead from this. The only reason why Miorine is able to get Gund Arm Tech off the ground is because she used her father's reputation and connections. And even then, later we find out that both Selling and Prospera are using Gund Arm Inc as a cover to further their own agendas, plus the reason Peli sold out their own stuff was as a way to clear their hands of the disaster once they got found out (Miorine and co are probably not going to have a fun time when they found out they are legally responsible for those discarded Elan dups.) Gund Arm Inc as a company only exists because it's founder is the daughter of the CEO of space, and the only reason why they are allowed to focus soly on the medical side of Gund Tech is because they are unknowingly serving to further the plots of at least 3 different corporate entities.

Also, sorry to double post, but I just remembered that we see something like that happen elsewhere in the show too. In episode 11 captain Avery mentions that Dominicus was created to "correct injustices in space", and you can kind of see from their PoV why a weapons manufacturer killing tests pilots by the dozens in shady experiments invovling body agumutation tech that most people don't even fully understand would be on their hit list. When they confructed the doctor in the prologue, theyu even claim that her aspirations to use Gund Tech for the betterment of humanity are just excuses. But the thing is that, that attack in the prologue was arranged by Delling and used by him as a springboard to propel himself to the top boss position during the time skip. And I mean, while the mission statement of Dominicus sounds noble, they have to get all that fancy military tech from SOMEWHERE. I'm sure Delling is a big donor of them given how tight them seem to be. Dawn of Fold is an Earthian Liberation group, but they also need to get all their MS and ships and guns from somewhere. And I mean, maybe you could see how it would make sense from their PoV. They probably want to off important spacian capatilists anyways, so why not get paid to do it by other spacians? But in the end they just are more or less another tool for capatilists to further their own goals. In these four examples (Vendis, Gund Arm Inc, Dawn of Fold, and Dominicus) you have different groups with different ideologies and goals and mission statements that are technically noble and good (medical aid, earth liberation, and fighting space injustice), but in the end they all end up taking money from the same group of people and they all in one way or another end up being used as just another tool or as cover to further the goals of the same kind of people they are all against.
