Gonna be that guy, but Ryan, the portmanteau "creepypasta" is from 4chan. I want to say around 2006-2007, and was used heavily on it's /x/ board which was dedicated to the paranormal and supernatural. Also, if you ever do a Sonic quiz/podcast thing, let me know! I have a BA in Failed 90s Mascots Who Refused to Die at the Turn of the Millennium Yet People Still Love Them Regardless.

Mark Hughes

Well I've seen the term Millennial be used to describe people born as early as 1980 and ending with people born in the mid to late 90s. Ryan's mention of 2005 is the first time I've ever heard of the ending date being that late, but I have often heard of any young people being considered "Millennial" and kept wondering at what point does the next generation start. Being about a year older than your guys, I too never heard the term Millennial until I was well within my 20s, and prior to that, the term I heard used was Generation Y. I do have some marketing textbooks from college that also used the term "Baby Boomlet", which seems worse than all those terms. Therefor I've often said that Generation Y are Millennials old enough to remember when they weren't being called Millennials. I've seen Xennials and "The Oregon Trail Generation" used as terms for older Millennials, but I feel like I'm only on the cusp of that. Also, I was more of a Number Muncher kind of guy. I've also often thought of Millennials as those that grew up with Pokemon being a big thing in their childhood, as opposed to Ninja Turtles. But I thought I'd ask you guys since you're a similar age, with similar frames of reference, but a little younger, and because you're very into 80s and 90s pop culture, which are all the rage with the Millennials these days. And yes Neil. This is the Mark Hughes you known for about 15 years. The one that just "shows up", as you put it. Well, unless you've also known the one that writes about superhero movies for Forbes magazine. But that would be a crazy coincidence.
