The Last Petal: Audio Update (Patreon)

Wanted to let people know that yes, the audio work for the Last Petal animation is still in development!

A lot of the sound for the end parts of the growth sequence have been pretty solid but the real challenge has been getting the more subtle movements near the beginning filled in. I've taken all of my work and condensed it into one track so I can continue to layer over the animation in a new project.

With that said, I'm also adding something that I feel is very necessary to the video and that's camera shake! PowerDirector has a shake effect that can be tweaked and controlled in clips, but to make it work, the video has to be zoomed in slightly to avoid black bars being visible. My dumb ass didn't think to render the video without the watermark so I'm having to reconstruct the video all over again to implement this feature.

I would say half the audio is semi-done, but I'm a stickler for quality so I might keep baking this thing in the oven in order to get it absolutely perfect. When the video is fully done, it will be released for $4 patrons. Again, this project is not a priority for the Patreon so I don't want people thinking its release is right around the corner. I'm just doing this when I have the spare time.
