Hi everyone (Patreon)
Content
So far, I’ve released seven chapters of The Things We Do for Love, and the story is actively unfolding. I’ll likely be rolling out the complete Chapter 8 very soon, and looking ahead, the story may grow to 15–25 more chapters over the coming weeks.
As we move forward, it’s really important for me to understand how you are perceiving Ryan — not just whether you like him or not, but how he feels to you.
I’d genuinely love to hear your thoughts. You don’t need to answer everything — even picking one or two questions and sharing your perspective helps a lot.
How do you currently see Ryan as a person?(Strong, confused, conflicted, relatable, frustrating, believable, something else?)
Do you sympathize with Ryan’s choices so far, or do you find yourself questioning them? Why?
At this point in the story, do you feel Ryan is still in control — or already slipping?
What aspect of Ryan interests you the most right now?(His emotions, his decisions, his relationships, conflict, his denial, etc.)
Is there something about Ryan that you wish he would confront sooner — or something you hope he avoids for now?
How gradual do you want Ryan’s change to be moving forward?Very subtle and psychological, or more noticeable and unavoidable?
Do you prefer Ryan to actively make choices, or slowly realize that choices are being made for him?
Is there any moment so far where you felt, “This is where things really started to shift for him”?
What emotion do you want the story to make you feel most as it continues?(Tension, unease, empathy, anticipation, sadness, curiosity, something else?)
If you could give Ryan one piece of advice right now — what would it be?
Feel free to be honest — different perspectives are exactly what help me understand how the story is landing and how best to develop Ryan moving forward.
Thank you for reading, engaging, and being part of this journey. I read every comment, and your thoughts genuinely matter.
