Operation Overlord was the code name for the Allied invasion of France. This is the Normandy invasion commonly referred to as D-Day. Like a lot of things in this movie it was poorly explained and no wonder the connection wasn't made. The events of the movie take place at the beginning of the operation with the squad focusing on knocking out the radio tower in the church to help aid in the invasion. Like you guys said, not really a war movie, not really a horror movie, and not a bad movie. Justa ho-hum attempt that fails to satisfy horror and history fans alike.
