I just want to say I liked the show and was definitely looking forward to season 2. If we can get 3 seasons of "Lost In Space", then why not this? It was the "original" storytelling that didn't quite clear the hurdle for me. If the OG anime didn't exist at all, would this stand on it's own as a must watch show? Adaptations are damn near impossible to pull off, no matter how lucky you get at casting. The John Goodman "Flintstones" movie was screen accurate AF, but it needed interesting storytelling in order for a proper Flintstones 2 to happen. James Gunn's Scooby Doo? Cleverly worked and the sequel got an immediate greenlight. As for what I wanted? John Woo's Firefly. Misfits aboard a ship, doing jobs to stay afloat, witty banter, the balance of comedy and deadly serious, insane fights, and an overarching villain, that's not in every single episode, but when they show up, shit is going down.

I definitely respect your comment. I'm more adverse to the nitpicks, and extreme takes

Nothing before this in the realm of reboots/remakes, has ever captured the vibe of a thing, like this thing did. I think it's a shame it got canceled.
