Entry Nine:

Well I should’ve known that Chloe would take me out-growing her as a personal offense! Once I texted my newest height update into the group chat, she immediately asked to go clothes shopping the next day. I couldn’t really say no either, I really needed the wardrobe update.

Things were pretty casual at first. Chloe could tell right away I wasn’t exaggerating. More surprisingly, she’s been wearing heels more often to keep up with Sam and opted not to wear them (Maybe she was expecting to find a fresh pair while we were shopping and failed). Soon a few little snide remarks about “being too big” came into the picture, but I brushed it off.

Never would’ve expected the size envy to be this bad, but I guess with Sam and I now taller she found herself at the bottom of the genetic picking order. Before it got too harsh we stopped for coffee and I offered to buy her a new top as a thank you for inviting me out. The second she heard she didn’t have to pay for something we were right back to besties.

Sometimes the best part of best friends is knowing exactly how they tick.
