OMGGGG I DONT KNOW WHY BUT I STAYED UP WAITING FOR THIS THATS CRAZY! Anyway wow I’m surprised, 2am right now here. I hate and love this episode. I love Sara and august and I think they both need a lot of therapy and help before they should actually get back together but I still love them. The letter was so sad but cute. With wilhelm and his mum I can see it from both sides because wilhelm always feels like Erik is the best and it got to him but now he sees Erik differently since august told him that Erik and his year were doing the rituals so wrong. I’m actually happy he told him because wilhelm deserved to know. But hearing that would’ve hurt and he can’t even talk to Erik about it. Then for his mum she was never a good mum but she’s always been ready for Erik to take over not wilhelm and now she’s stressed because wilhelm isn’t ready and grieving still because her oldest first child is dead. I didn’t like when wilhelm said her only child is here or whatever it was because she has 2 children always no matter what. A mother or father would never say they have one less child just because one died. I felt like a stab to my heart when he said that honestly. Then with Simon and wilhelm, it was always going to be messy for them because I think the only options have always been Simon is unhappy with the death threats and not being able to do anything and wilhelm is also unhappy because he doesn’t actually want to take over but he doesn’t want august taking over. And then they both get depressed. That’s what would happen in the long run if that was the outcome. Then the other option is for wilhelm to give up the throne and just be with Simon, with august taking over unless august leaves for Sara. And then the next option is wilhelm and simon break up and they’re both just sad but have to move on. Either way it’s messy but I think the best way would be if both august and wilhelm just abdicated. But then who would be after august. I don’t think they’ve ever said if there was anyone after him. I just think both of them are not ready at all. Both of them are very much in need of therapy before leading a country.

I understand that this might be to much for Simon, but there is a time a place for everything. If you care about your boyfriend who just had a huge fight with his parents on his birthday and is already so upset, just hold him through the night and have the talk tomorrow. I felt so heartbroken for Wilhelm. I hope he abdicate in the next episode and fix things with Simon. I want an happy Wilmon ending after these three seasons 💙💜.

I felt so bad for Wilhelm bc bro literally exploded in front of his family and then got dumped on this birthday 😭

**EDIT* how amazing was edvin ryding’s (wille) performance in those last two scenes. he’s had some awesome scenes over the series but i think that was his best scene yet! ** we all know at this point that none of the characters (at least main ones) are without fault. i feel that the "finale" is going to see simon and wille go their separate ways. in all honesty, that's probably what they need. we ended last season with moments before the speech simon saying to wille before he said "i love you" that "no more secrets between us." this season there's just been secrets the whole time. they lack communication. a lot of that is immaturity / lack of life experience. i feel like simons character last season was needlessly dramatic and was always getting wille to jump through hoops to meet his conditions (until the very end). then this season, wille has been the one with the issues and simon has really gone out of his way to sacrifice a lot to be with him. getting rid of social media, the threats and vandalism at his house. simon not being comfortable with the monarchy, but obviously going along with all of their requirements (for the most part). i think the timing was terrible with simon dumping wille - as others have said, it should have happened the next morning if that was the route he was going to take. though, the things simon said are very true - "love shouldnt be this hard." which he got from his mother earlier in the episode. there's only a few scenarios i can think of for the finale, but i think it may end up open-ended... with the idea given that they'll go their separate ways and revisit it if they can't live without each other. either that or something vague which lets the viewer imagine what happened after the end of the episode. the others are wille abdicating and being with simon, the queen dying or abdicating and wille taking over with simon being there on his terms. unless it's a double-length or longer episode i feel like it's tough to wrap up all over the loose ends in one more episode. time will tell. (i wrote a novel).

I don't think Simon has ever been overly dramatic or selfish tbh he had every right to feel the way he felt and didn't expect anything from him, simon even agreed to keep it a secret if it doesn't work any other way everything that happend was wilhelms own decision

i think the beauty of the show is that you can see the main characters in different perspectives depending on how much you like / sympathize with them. dont get me wrong - i love simons character. last season though there were times when wille was trying everything he could to accommodate simon and simon would always turn discussions into arguments and blame wille for the monarchys decision (specifically when it came to his song at the jubilee). there was also a lot of issues with marcus (most were marcus’ fault but some were simons) surrounding the ball where simon was being a bit dodgey. creating drama by using marcus to get at wille.

In August's letter he was talking about feeling so alone in his first year and I think Sara could relate to that because she also feels alone. I don't think he shared it just to make her feel bad for him. He seems to genuinely feel like she understands him. That's the impression that I got anyway, but I could be wrong, could just be emotional manipulation. I haven't watched ahead. I like that we get to see people's flaws in the show. Really relatable.

I'm with Wille on this. He's been left kinda alone with this completely crazy situation. Brother dead, heir to the throne and his life getting analyzed all over the media. No wonder he feels like he's not getting enough support from his parents. He might have gone a little overboard but that happens when you're angry. After all, he's still just a kid.

This was such a wild episode, Sara definitely had me crying. And tbh I was literally clapping and snapping along with Wilhelm during his whole rant to his parents. Idk, with the way they are used to interacting, it feels like that conversation was always going to hurt and be messy regardless. And I think Willie did such a great job on still focusing on why he is hurt, without even needing to bring up what he learned about Erik. It might have sounded harsh, but I didn't find anything he said to seem untrue, just sad bc that's the reality he's been living in and only just finally vocalizing it.

real I've always hated Simon. He's always seeking attention every chance he gets (like with his singing and posting etc) and then sulks like a brat lmao. Imo anyway
