Mason’s death is one of the saddest. Gets me every time especially just before when he tells Jeremy to not let this happen to Tyler. I really enjoyed Tyler and Mason’s bonding and him having another male figure in his life. Gonna miss Mason. Definitely one of my favorite characters and I liked that he gave Tyler a familial foundation as his uncle after his father was killed. Another reason to not like Damon..I just feel like he can do so much evil and everyone turns their back to his evil. Love Stefan as a character as always..and of course Bonnie. I love her dynamic with Damon and she just makes the show a million times better with her presence. I’m glad the chemistry was picked up on because Kat and Ian have a lot of on screen chemistry. Also one more thing..I am all for Tyler. I love the werewolf storyline. Great reaction!

bonnie x damon = superior ship

stefans crying face😥💔

Yeah, Julie Plec, the showrunner, is well-known as a racist in this fandom, it shows up in Bonnie's storylines heavily. She uses Bonnie as a plot device to support other characters' storylines never giving her the value she deserves. If they need witchy stuff done, they make sure she's onscreen for just that, but then she's gone when she's not needed in that way. For many seasons, Julie would even keep Bonnie away from certain male characters to limit shipping as well, it was weird. Damon is a prime example, actually lol. They had insane chemistry, but their scenes were limited for this reason. Same with her and Stefan. All the male actors wanted their characters to have more scenes with her. But yeah, Bonnie goes through hell on this show and is very mistreated. That's why I haven't rewatched it in years. It gets pretty bad, but just remain aware. if Bonnie's storylines look iffy, Julie Plec is why. Watching your reactions made certain memories come back like I didn't even realize how she was barely there in season 1. It's insane because if there should be one character who gets tons of screen time besides the core three, it should be her!

lmao._.ashlyy

Omggg I cannot wait any longer for the next 2 eps😭😭😭

i mean, Mason didnt need to die but he did threaten Elena at one point and was their enemy so if i was in Damons position, i most likely wouldve done the same. if he was willing to hurt Elena just because he wanted Stefan and Damon dead, what else would he be willing to do for Katherine

Cristy

RIP Mason, I didn't have an issue with him either, Zuff. I love the wolves. Plus he's very good looking so I wouldn't have said no to him sticking around lol. The amount of town events Mystic Falls has is crazy. I liked the Liz/Caroline scenes, it's like they're having an honest conversation for the very first time in their lives but it's a shame it has to end *cries* "Can't have Bonnie, Elena and Caroline in the same scene together," lol Rob. But also great we finally got one after all this time. Cannot wait for the next episodes and for you guys to see them, I feel like the show lifts considerably from now.

jaselle

i forgot how good paul wesleys acting was during the break up scene omg 😭

didnt kat also say julie forced her to straighten her hair & wear wigs?? just disgusting

aalliyah

not the bamon bandwagon already, I love to see it

RIP Mason .. the actor was engaged to Lady Gaga for a lil while. Poor Matt. Will he ever know the truth, Talk about being outta the loop. I Heart Damon & Bonnie!!! Damon with the ice blue eyes and Bonnie with the smokey green/brown eyes.. Ric needs to pack some bags and take Jenna outta state for like 3 seasons, they are just not safe. Caroline & Liz down in the cell is one of my favorite scenes. When Liz tells Caroline that she has become this strong, confident person. Chef's Kiss!

Oh lord, there's so much to talk about lol, but that nasty lady was just not interested in hiring someone to properly take care of Kat's hair, so Kat was forced to straighten it and wear wigs, which wouldn't be a problem if she had a stylist on set who knew what they were doing! Julie was just determined to treat her as less than. It's sickening.

Katie Niekamp

Jeremy saying "it's your fault I got sucked into all this" to Elena while INCESSANTLY trying to worm his way into the supernatural drama is the ultimate irony. The boy will not stop. Big "omg why is there always so much drama in my life, I hate drama" energy.

Yeah apparently Lady Gaga also visited the TVD set back in the day

bateman bookworm

masons death was always the one that I felt was wasted potential, but it had to be done. He tried to kill them last episode and would kill them again if he had the chance, not to mention his connection with Katherine. such as shame tho bc boy was he handsome lol

Murphy

Katherine is the GOAT. It's a different show whenever she's in it stirring up trouble. That acceptance scene with Caroline and her mom always gets me in my feels. It's such an important moment for them and their relationship. You can see how much it kills Caroline to wipe it from her memory.

Yesss, that was the best Caroline/Liz moment 🥺 I loved seeing them bond even just for a little bit.

Caroline

Damon's love was not compelled. He even drank her blood willingly. Stefan was the one who was compelled, although it was after he fell for her.

k

i love how happy they get every time bonnie’s in an episode so real

Kat’s mistreatment was so blatant and disgusting. It’s such a shame how the writers did her character because Kat has so much presence every time she’s on the screen. Bonnie is a fan favorite for a reason.

exactly no one can ignore the chemistry there

I agree, Jeremy is kinda all over, but he is still only like 15-16ish. With all of his grief, some of his coping mechanisms ( drugs and sex ) maybe not the best for a 15 year old child.. He really needs some non vampire adult supervision.. in another state. He’d probably still find his way back to Mystic Falls which is great cuz I luv me some Jeremy.

Nyeisha Melvina Clark

Mason was a compelling character but honestly he was never the type of character to last, also he pretty much signed his death warrant when he outed Damon and Stefan. Also as much as I love Stefan I could never get over the stupidity of him jumping in that well without the slightest thought that it might be booby trapped because it was Mason that put it there, lol. He was Fried when they pulled him out lol I couldn't help but laugh.

Yes, Kat Graham wasn’t allowed to wear her natural hair in TVD, she even asked them if Bonnie could have more of a natural look and the producers or whoever said no

Nyeisha Melvina Clark

Also from this point on Season 2 just DOESN'T LET UP, just straight heat for the rest of the season.

Stefan crying breaks my heart man

Heida

That Stelena break-up scene never fails to make me cry 😭 Paul crying his face off breaks my heart 💔 I don't care what you say, I'm forever Team Stelena! As characters though I love both Stefan and Damon but I feel like Stefan is so underrated. Damon was also HORRIBLE this episode. Mason didn't deserve that. Btw, do you know Mason's actor, Taylor Kinney, dated/was engaged to Lady Gaga? They met when he played her love interest in her music video for the song You and I. Taylor has been on the show Chicago Fire since 2012. Steven R. McQueen who plays Jeremy also starred in the show for a while. He is the grandson and namesake of legendary actor Steve McQueen who was popular in the 1950s to 70s. Steven is also cousin to Enrique Iglesias and Julio Iglesias Jr. And Matt Davis who plays Alaric was the douchebag boyfriend in Legally Blonde! Bonnie is definitely underused and so is Jenna and Alaric. Katherine is so evil but still so endearing and fun. At this point, I feel like it's just better to tell loved ones the truth because at least then they're in the loop and can't be as easily manipulated (compelled). Also, that scene between Caroline and her mum is so gut-wrenching but beautiful at the same time. Caroline is SO much better as a vampire than a human.

Just as friends though. Not everything has to be romantic or sexual.

Jane Thomas

I really like mason. He was a good father figure to Tyler especially since Tyler’s father was such a crappy dad. Damon being impulsive x344566788

Jane Thomas

I agree Katherine makes each episodes so much better. I was looking forward to Bryce’s reaction to that Jenna scene lol.sorry 😂

HIM showing up in 2 eps... I'm taking the day off on Wednesday lol.

bella
>>134411214

and they couldn't even invest in wigs that actually look good 😒 had my girl out here looking a hot mess

Sami

Mason was cool but yall just wait. Kind of feel like he was written as a means-to-an-end kind of character, in order to instigate/transition into some even cooler plot lines

Emi

i forgot how much of a savage jeremy is to elena in the early seasons…it’s honestly so satisfying cuz he’s basically the only character flat out calling her out

Karleigh Hurt

you picked up on bonnie and damon’s tension!!!! they were everything to me.
