it really helps to have your lyrics and everything written down with where you go into head/chest/mixed, and where you can breathe etc. it’ll help your timing. do two lines hundreds of times so you perfect your runs before moving to perfecting the next lines. break it down a lot!!! then start running thru it all in bigger chunks until you can do the whole song!!! it takes sooo much time but this is what i do before performing and it is so worth it. it’s the muscle memory of it!

I think the connoreatspants method only works on people desperate for attention who feel flattered by the desperate pleas of connor... I think you should focus on people in the industry who are a little outside of Twitch but still get it. Like Anthony Padilla, JaidenAnimations, bbno$, etc., and from there you reach a little farther every time. I mean, it took Amelia from Chicken Shop Date 10 years to get her where she is. And invite people you are actually excited to talk with.

I feel you! QT did raise money with Hasan for kids in Gaza which is awesome, but yes I do wish they were a little more aware. They have large platforms and it would be nice if they used them more for good. Ludwig, on the other hand, supports Palestine along with the other Yard members, but from what I've seen has done nothing. That's not to say that charity has to be publicized, because I don't believe in that, BUT I do feel it should be when the person is this big and their VOICE can be more powerful than their silent support/donation. Ludwig also hasn't publicly taken a stance either. All in all, I do wish QT and Maya were more vocal about Palestine. Hi Blaire & Maya! I am a vocal coach for harsh vocals but have training and experience in all fields and would be more than happy to provide tips for you on when you should/shouldn't use certain registers. Switching registers is not a "when should I" basis, it is entirely based on feel. No two singers will sound exactly the same, and there will be songs that you will need to use your head voice in to reach certain notes instead of your chest voice, even though the singer may not be doing so. If you find yourself able to hit notes in a section of a song in your chest voice but would like to have the airy/breathy tone from what you may get in your head voice, I highly recommend practicing using your diaphragm to layer on a bit of air to the notes. It can be slightly offputting at first because you will feel out of breath slightly, but with practice you learn how to add the airy texture without using too much air. Melissa Cross has some tips on this as well that go into more detail. Sorry for the long comment, I always love seeing people who are talented in music express themselves. I would love to help out in any way I can or provide tips if need be! Also, thank you for the weekly girltalk. I may be a man and a dad, but sometimes girltalk just hits different.

THIS. If they really want to make the podcast big they are focusing on the wrong people ngl. They need overlap with other creators of other parts of the internet to broaden their audience, not just getting celebs. It would also help with their demographic because all those people have a primarily female and lgbtq viewers. Like I would love if Wine about it had a Call her daddy moment, but unfortunately they are so in the twitch niche (a male-centric audience) that I don’t see that as possible unless they branch out first.

If I'm being brutally honest, they should either cancel the call-in confession segment or move it down to tier 1. Begging for more call-ins will probably not fix the issue. For the other podcasts I listen to with a listener call-in segment, it's always either part of the free podcast or at the lowest tier of Patreon. If you put it at a higher tier, the normie Patrons ignore it because they'll never hear it, so the pool of call-in contributors is limited to a few hundred higher tier Patrons. That's just not enough people to farm call-ins from.

Suzy, I agree that their list of potential celebrity guests seemed unfocused and too "big celebrity" based. I'd also prefer they organically grow the pod by getting creators with similar audiences/vibes to WAI. Like T-Pain was within reason since he's on Twitch and they've lightly interacted enough and they have a contact close to him. He's a weird fit with the podcast, but at least they're sort of familiar with him. Most of the others were so far-fetched. Just DMing random celebs that have no chance of knowing who QT or Maya are feels like the podcast version of spending $300 on scratch tickets at the gas station. Yeah, sure, maybe you'll hit the jackpot, but it was likely just some short-lived 60 minutes of fun that will amount to nothing. If they were just blowing off steam and having some fun, so be it, but there's no way most celebs would answer those DMs. The Connoreatspants method works only because he carefully selects absolute weirdos to tweet at/DM, and he has crafted a specific kind of Twitter clout in recent months. Admittedly, maybe it's not my area of expertise, and maybe popular podcasts are so entrenched in the Spotify charts that the only way you grow a new podcast is A) already be a big celebrity, or B) somehow get an unearned massive celebrity guest who is bored enough to show up on your small podcast and the clips go viral on Tiktok. If things are that bad, we're culturally doomed.
