The magnum pistol is op. It “One Shots” an unshielded enemy if you hit a headshot shot. Also you can zoom in with it. They called it the Pocket Sniper.

Best way to take down shields for elites is with an overcharged plasma pistol shot. (The alien hand gun that shoots green stuff)

The Halo trilogy is so incredible. I have so many fond memories of playing this with friends on my Xbox while sitting on my bed. I'm glad you're playing it co-op, it's the best way to play IMO. Enjoy!

Someone may have already mentioned but in halo 1 the starting pistol is insanely powerful. It is much better than the assault rifle.

I know their already on 2 and I hope Rae isn't too disappointed to see sprint still isn't in the game. To add to that I also hope she's not further disappointed when she figures out its not in 3 or ODST either.

Yup. Halo CE pistol can drop a Hunter in 1-2 shots in the back.
