Emilycc would be interesting as cohost, since she's been streaming forever with her subathon and Kai shout her out last year so she's got a following. Ironmouse for to get vtube community more interest in, and just imagine her face plastered on big screen to small screen from one side to another like a tech takeover, cinema. Sketch and Cinna could red carpet, they had some collabs so they have rapport but I think their audiences are still different, same with Agent and Emily, I feel like even tho they share communities they still have their own too. Also love Squeex and Fanfan. Think a duo with some familiarity with one another will make each other comfortable too.

Absolutely love a category for music - whether it's production or writing or singing, it's an important category and section on Twitch that I have loved for years. I hope though that it helps highlight those that are actually those streamers full time - and not just those that have decided to make music occasionally on stream by singing over premade loops or something. Not that that itself is bad just, man there's a lot of amazing music people out there. Be really interesting to see how that turns out for sure :-D

i love a whine about it <3 i think qt's "your live chat is your real chat/homies" is so real because that's the people who are actually watching you for the content you put out and take you at face value as well as having the crucial whole context for anything you say on it that then gets clipped and put everywhere. i know they're very grateful for their privileges but on the flipside i sure feel privileged rn to not have the level of scrutiny and hate that being on the internet comes with!

An award I thought would be cool to see would be something like "content creator, for content creators" award and it honors like those in the scene who create content that other creators part take in like Abe with his various game servers or even Lud with his IRL events. I know that would be hard for communities to vote for but you could have creators push for people that they feel strongly about and have their fans in turn vote. Think it'd just be cool to honor some people who create so much for other creators

I have always admired the amount effort QT puts into streamer awards and the message behind it all. The goal to get everyone together and to grow streams is such a good idea in this world of drama. I can’t wait to see how it turns out this year and I hope don’t get too overwhealming for QT and the team. The end result has always been worth it!

QT please remember the people that are mean about streamer awards are such a small majority. Don’t let yourself get one guyed the overwhelming majority of people love the show. You always manage to focus on the negative comments in a sea of positive ones. For the red carpet I want to see Sam and Caroline or Cyr and Peach. I think it’s ok to not pick someone for the purpose of highlighting them when you have the entire award show for that. You need to pick someone you can trust so picking your friends makes sense.

GIrlies you've always been feeling sorry for being sad or "whining" throughout Wine About It's lifespan and I'm just waiting for you to realize that's why we tune in! I get where you're coming from but I also saddens me a bit to see that it's like you don't know your audience. Or worse you're trying to cater to or play defense against the typical twitter hater or comment section insufferable critic. (which deserve no catering or atention) We're not them, if events are depressing and they've got you feeling down then we're here for it. We understand and we know (from experience, as Wynos) that there will be fun and silly times ahead. I don't think you'd even let yourselves be that way on a couple episodes in a row so there's no need to worry or apologize. Just don't want you to stress or worry to much about it, you've got enough of that already.

You could make it so that for any category a streamer specializes in, like music, art, coding, or whatever, they need to hit a threshold of 50% of their main stream to count for that category. If they’re not sure who qualifies, linking to something like TwitchTracker could help. This would probably cut out most of the big streamers who just stick to ‘Just Chatting,’ but it feels fairer and would give more attention to the smaller creators

Rae & QT! I know this past month has been hell. The harassment seems never-ending but please realize its a sea of malicious, no-life losers and streamers who have to bot every comment section and brigade every reddit thread in order to manufacture this hate. You both are respected and supported by all of us and the broader community. You'll always have all of your fans in your corner cause we see how empathetic, well-intentioned, and hard working both of you are.

I've always thought Caroline would be such a good co-host for streamer awards! Her and QT balance each other out so nicely and because they're friends IRL, the chemistry on stage would be so natural. Regardless of who you pick though, I'm excited to watch. I look forward to the streamer awards every year.

Trailblazer/League of Their Own; Reality/IRL existing at the same time is probably going to cause a lot of confusion during nominations imo, not every casual Twitch viewer is going to understand the minutae that distinguishes those categories. I've also generally never been a fan of game-specific categories as in best Fortnite, etc. I prefer umbrellas like Strategy and Battle Royale, as those umbrellas will stay, even when specific games fall off, and there are so many games out there that there's always a guy that's mad his game isn't its own category.

Spooky story: We bought a house that we discovered had termites soon after moving in (somehow the inspector missed this prepruchase). We decided to tent the house to make sure we wouldn’t have problems moving forward, and in the meantime we stayed at an Airbnb for a few days. Gamer culture so I stay up late, and I brought my pc to game, my girlfriend is a teacher so she goes to bed pretty early. When I would stay up late the vibes of the house were off. Normal creaking, sounds like steps. Just very eerie things. Then the first night I fell asleep I had sleep paralysis, which has never happened to me. I was horrified because couldn’t move and the house was already spooky. I remember it felt like an eternity where this was happening, and I just closed my eyes and accepted that if I die, I die lol. Eventually my girlfriend’s alarm went off for work, and with that I was able to move, and I acted like I just woke up with her. She gets easily so I didn’t want to tell her anything. I go get what sleep I can before I have to wake up for work a few hours later. When I dream that night, it’s a dream about going into the closest, and there is someone dead by hanging there, and then they jump down and chase me out of the house. I was absolutely horrified and had no energy for that work day. We stayed there for four days and each future day I just had a dark dream involving the house. When we finally got to return to our pest free home I was very excited. None of the dreams or sleep paralysis followed. So I just assumed someone took their life in that house, and didn’t like people being there.

I think its easy to overthink the overlap with red carpet or floor. Agent and Emily would be a great choice though, they are equally connected to NMP and Arthur as they are to Faze as they are to OTV and Friends as they are to Jinny and the travelling IRL as they are to Kai Cenat/AMP yet all those groups are distinct and separate, they are a great bridge. I don't think a lot of Fanum's audience watch Fuslie and vice versa but both audiences know Agent and Emily as a duo as an example. Plenty of streamers kind of bridge separate communities.

Incentive for people to vote? Every voter gets put into a raffle to win 1 of however many prizes. Could be a range of big and small prizes e.g. gift cards, twitch turbo for year, new PC, game console, etc.

spooky anecdote: this is really small and i don’t even believe in ghosts BUT my friend and i rented a hotel after a hayley kiyoko concert and the entire place felt creepy and mildly nauseating just to walk through. this was mostly because of squeaky and uneven floors, super thin walls, narrow hallways and pretty much no working staff. when we got to the room we had no issues for multiple hours, but once we turned off the lights and climbed into bed, the desk lamp started flashing on and off randomly. at first we didn’t really think anything of it and just unplugged it so it wouldn’t bother us; however, as soon as my friend climbed back into bed, it continued flashing. we both immediately froze, understandably confused, and a bit uncomfortably spooked. my friend went back over to it to make sure it couldn’t also be charged by batteries, and it was very clear that the only way for it to gain power was by being plugged into an outlet. i really don’t know what would cause a lamp to act like this, but even if there IS a simple reason, it’s more funny to believe that there was a homophobic ghost content with chilling with us, up until we made things too gay by sharing the same bed. regardless, after like a half hour of this, we made it through the night without any other issues.
