I loved the main ep, it was great - no need to worry! Btw I started watching this pod at the very start specifically for QT so yes, there are people here for her! Lol for years I was the same as Lud, only ever muted but never blocked simply because I didn't want to give anyone the satisfaction of seeing I blocked them. I was even proud of maintaining 0 blocked lmao. Within the past year though with how much worse twitter has become, I thought fuck it idc and block everyone now. It actually feels liberating.

To be fair, I originally came because of Rae but that’s because I already had watched her content before and loved her. I only started seeing QT's from the streamer awards stuff in 2024. I don't watch streams and basically come from YT and after being in here since Rae joined the pod I can genuinely say that I’m so incredibly happy that this podcast exists and literally y'all can talk about literally nothing and I’ll be happy to be here regardless. Btw Qt is now my favorite creator now. She is so real and genuine and completely hilarious and I'm so happy to see anything she is a part of.

I dont get how QT sees herself, she is literally the only streamer i can watch live and not wanting to skip, i think yesterday was the first time i have ever seen a live stream and not want to skip and saw it all they way thru, gaming with the Yarn, i wish she gets better, i feel like her too but i try not too as much, i try to pretend, fake it till you make it hopefully

I feel like it's tough. She hears all this negativity from all these dumb chuckle fucks on the internet because they want to be mean. Whereas like I'm not going to go out of my way to like tweet her or whatever to compliment her because that feels weird. Maybe it shouldn't? I dunno. Like where's the parasocial line? Paying for the Patron feels like me saying, "good job!" But if she happens to read this the mere fact the Streamer Awards looks as good as it does and as professional as it does is a incredibly remarkable achievement. I mean all these award shows has how many producers and a whole infrastructure built up over decades to make them look good. QT comes along and does the lionshare of the work and gets what? 350k viewers? I don't care what went wrong that's impressive.

Peeves was meant to be in the Harry Potter films, Rik Mayall (Drop Dead Fred for US) was cast & filmed stuff - the reason he isn’t in the film is & I’m not making this up, he was TOO good, like he kept making the kid actors laugh too much, they even tried him being off set & doing it but because he was such a funny person it didn’t work - he is in record saying it’s his best film as he got paid but didn’t have to do the film 😂

I won't pretend I would be immune but I have such a good mental model of the people invested spraying poisonous negative feedback that it would shield me from some of it. If QT could see them typing out their shitty shitbrained comments, taking them even remotely seriously would be a tall order. I hear her though... sometimes it's just a little bit of salt in an open and old wound... and it doesn't take a lot to sting. The twitch ecosystem also selects for the mentally unwell and/or embittered, as audiences go... it really is one of the worst.. Easier said than done but if she could really get a handle on the type of person causing the trouble, how incredibly sad they are, they are using being hostile and vindictive as a coping mechanism, they are unhappy, lonely, and maybe most of all... afraid. For a short moment when they are attacking someone... they aren't consumed with how much they hate themselves. I should add that I would buy tickets to Kill Tony just to walk out. I would consider it a point of pride. I'm a huge and long term stand up comedy fan and think Kill Tony and everything that has sprung up around it, everything that is related to it like JRE, Joe Rogan, Comedy Mothership are vile smears on the art form. It's like people gathering round to look at a piece of fine art that was vandalised by someone throwing a huge shit at it.
