Welcome back QT!! 🖤

Smelly

All the love to QT, I lost a cat a few years ago and the way you talk about Swift being your rock in a storm makes me think of them and how I greived. Happy to hear you are getting the care and help you need.

angel

We support you qt 🙏!

Alexis Gotham

As someone who’s been hospitalized for mental health, I super appreciate how open and vulnerable QT is to share her experiences. These conversations are so important and so helpful! The more you share vulnerable moments and emotions, the more comfortable others feel sharing their own emotions. There is nothing to be ashamed of when seeking help for your mental health, and admitting yourself into a facility is SO BRAVE & SO COURAGEOUS!!! It won’t feel like it at the time, but there is always a brighter day ahead. QT, I am so glad you are still here! And for anyone who has fought to stay here, I’m so proud of you 🩷 Rae, thank you for being flexible and taking on the podcast while QT has been recovering. You’ve done absolutely amazing! 🥰

Torayume

Me tearing up thinking about Swift being with QT for a big half of her life....me actually welling up with tears about Emily's genuine emotional reaction seeing QT knowing how she been ;;-;;)!!

carlos garcia

I can attest that saying "my little guy" after losing your dog does in fact break you down

Abby M

I’m so excited that QT is back! I always appreciate when she discusses mental health and I relate to a lot of the things she says. My cat unexpectedly died a week ago and then my dad went into the ICU the same day so I was looking forward to hearing about QTs time off the internet. It does help a lot! ❤️ thank you so much for sharing with us QT ❤️

Immy

Welcome back QT! No, not an acceptable part of your jobs! I was a nurse once and got a lot traumatic events, and the healing it takes is part of the job and you can take as long as you need. For you guys it’s even worse cause it’s so unnecessary for the internet to be so abusive. It’s good to see someone take the responsibility to heal themselves and to even allow us to see part of it is amazing.

SlitheringVoid

So happy to see you back QT you’re so strong and we appreciate you. I’ll be 6 months sober tomorrow and you and Rae definitely got me through the tough times so at least I appreciate you

Couran

Nothing but love and good wishes for QT! Continue to take as much time and space and recovery at whatever pace you feel is best!

lily 🕵🏻‍♀️

I relate so much to what qt shared about her inner critic and i appreciate being so vulnerable 💖💖 welcome back!!!

Jo Becker

"My natural response is I ruin everything" I had to pause because I started bawling this hit so close to home. Thank you for QT for always being so generous with your journey. My words will never express how much your sharing and vulnerability helps remind me that I am not the only one fighting these internal fights.

Cassie

this episode was so needed! ive been dealing with a lot of loss and grief over the last year myself so I cant even begin to explain how much qt’s insight on her mental health hiatus and recovery resonated with me 💗 its lovely to have qt back!

MintTeaChick

Welcome back QT ❤️ I hope you are getting all the hugs from Lud, Ders, and Coots.

NB

As a therapist, I commend your vulnerability and selflessness in sharing on these difficult topics. Much love.

Lizzie

Rae, if you read these, id like you to know that you do belong here, and I feel like you don’t give yourself enough credit for all that you have added to this podcast. You truly are the best person that could have joined, not even based on the past few episodes where you were kinda hosting this on your own but in all of the time you have put in for the past year. Thanks for all the deep conversations that you two have and thank you for the laughs too.

Mary-Bryant Charles

Thank you both so much for everything you do. You guys aren't much older than me, but I really see the two of you as a sort of light further down the path. You guys make me excited for the potential of the future, you show me the joy that can come from persistence in the face of pain, you fill the silences of anxious car rides and getting ready in the morning and hard days at work. I really think this podcast is art, a kind of creative nonfiction, an ever-growing story that you both give us the privilege of hearing. Truly, truly, thank you. I know it's not always fun, I know people can suck, but it means a lot to have you come back week after week. All the love to you both 🩷

2 weeks ago I made the decision to do outpatient therapy which I start Monday. You’ve been someone I’ve looked up to for so long. You have the best sense of humor and have been one of the only people who can put some of the feelings in my head into words. You’ve done it so many episodes of this podcast, during your streams, in some of your tweets and especially today and I want to say thank you as it’s really help me navigate conversations I’ve needed to have and express myself in a comprehensible way. Having such a big presence on the internet and navigating the feelings you have and being as open as you are sharing them while the corners of the internet I hope I am never part of have some of FUCKING DUMBEST, mind you, criticism and bullshit opinions from strangers I’ve ever seen is commendable. There is not enough loving and rejoice and kudos being given to you qt and I find it so unfair and upsetting and I know that’s parasocial of me but we do need more emotionally mature people to be parasocial to weed out the others on the spectrum if it’s gonna happen regardless. I am so beyond sorry about Swift. Grief is so hard and I hope the way you never stop talking about your mom you never stop talking about your lil best friend and I hope nobody ever stops asking you about them 💜

Qt I’m so glad you’re taking the time to heal! We are here for you <3. Literally crying over this episode

Zibe Holton

To QT I'm glad that your seeking professional help during this process. To Rae having you on the podcast is very appreciated.

Two-Tone MoonStone

At the risk of being too parasocial (and not knowing full context), as someone who also did in-patient a few years ago it makes me happy that you’re doing this QT. I’m also very different from how I went in but I’m happier and better for the experience. Good luck!

Fionnuala

Sending all the love and positivity your way QT 💖 I'm glad that the podcast feels like a safe space for you to talk about mental health with how supportive the community is 🫰 Rae held it down so well and we love her too, so please take as much time as you need and don't feel rushed to make content for us, your mental is number 1!

Ricky

🫂🧡🫂🧡

Ricky

i started to tear up when that happened

Piero Chau

I never comment and I’ve been watching your show since day 1 and all I can say is QT we missed you!!!, all love and support to you

Kaylee

QT, genuinely I think it’s so amazing and important how openly you talk about mental health. I’ve been a pod watcher since you and maya started it and during those 5 years I have also had a lot of traumatic losses but the way you’ve always spoken about mental health and taking breaks for yourself literally helped me get through. I think it was literally on this pod that someone said grief is like a bullet wound that the bullet gets stuck in, you heal over the wound but sometimes if you move the wrong way it hurts again. When I lost my own dog that analogy literally got me through. I just wanted you to know it does matter! And you are helping many many people. 🩷🩷

In high school I pronounced “chamillionaire” as “CHA-millionaire” and my classmates would not let it go, never felt so embarrassed in my life 😭😂

Samo Abdul

Grounding is something I was skeptical of but once I actually tried it, it helped tremendously, and Im happy its working for you QT

ShedManDan

This episode makes me feel seen ive been struggling with panic attacks and brutal anxiety for 10 years and mindfulness saved my life it takes a long time to learn but its really worth it. I'm proud of your honesty and being open about your mental health. I love this podcast and both of you xo 🙏💜

Danilee

This episode is a heavy one for me. I’ve walked the same road that QTs journeying on. Talking about an inpatient program is really hard and brave. QT has never been shy sharing her life and it’s so heartening to see her continue even with these hardest of experiences. This truly matters in breaking stigma.

Ladycilece

I understand, QT. I lost my soulmate in April. I always said “sometimes you have a pet, and sometimes all you have is that pet” for so much of my life that was the case. The worst part is how earth shattering it was to lose her and how no one understood how much an animal could mean to you. I won’t dump my own issues more than that, but I just wanted to comment and say I appreciate you speaking out on this. I know it’s hard. There is no replacing Swift. But you’re not alone and it is comforting to know that I’m not the only one who’s gone through this. Sending you love, comfort and peace 🫶🏻

Emily

I'm not someone who ever leaves comments on things. I like being a lurker in every aspect. But today I suddenly and unexpectedly lost my cat, and I've been a mess. I started to feel myself spiraling, so I decided to turn on the podcast to bring me back and it was immensely helpful. Thank you so much for sharing QT. I didn't feel quite as alone in my grief today ❤️

mormonteeth

sending love and support QT <3

Husker

Welcome back QT! I'm going through something similar in my life and seeing you be so open and strong gives me hope that everything will be okay. Thank you for being you! Rae you did such a great job holding things down while QT took time to heal and work through this grief! You really do belong here and we all love you! 💙💙💙

Denshi

Episode nearly had my grown man ass crying in my cubicle at work. Welcome back QT!

Illeriia

I know it has to be relentlessly brutal to talk about these things, but it really does give me a more healthy perspective on mental health ESPECIALLY seeking and getting help

Alex

❤️

Katy Skipper

QT deserves all the patience and kindness and support in the world after everything she’s been through!

Jam

Love you guys ❤️

Listening to this now and it is helping a lot. Thank you QT for being so open and vulnerable. Thank you Rae for being so supportive. I had to say goodbye to my 14-yr old fur baby Ellie two and half years ago. My husband and I adopted her when she was 8 weeks old. Then this year, I nearly lost my husband. It's hard. I have the nightmares reliving the bad moments. But I try to focus on the good ones more. And I really liked how QT said you can't fix it (which is hard to come to terms with as I'm very much a fixer) but you learn to manage and live with it. Trying not to cry again since I just finished putting on makeup. I don't know when everything will ok, but I do know I'm strong enough to survive it. And we know you're strong, QT. <3

Emmy

i agree completely with you !

Zar

YAY QT! Big props to Rae during this time and holding it down. In a silver lining type of way, I actually think this was good for you and the pod audience! You killed it. Also big ups to Skootish for stepping it up and helping with a lot (especially the games, those were a ton of fun it was fun seeing him as someone who knew nothing about him) and all the people willing to step up and be guests. I hope QT can continue healing and getting herself help and finding herself again and a new normal. I'm definitely glad to see her back and I've missed my second monitor streams (no rush, no pressure). I hope WAI can continue to be a safe place (hopefully patreon/bonus at least, less clippers? no clippers?). We all appreciate all everyone does for and on this pod.

Melz

Copying over a helpful comment I saw on the youtube upload, to give it a better chance of being seen: "I want QT to know her book isn't ruined. There are paper restorers that know exactly how to get the oil out while preserving the book."

LexiJayC

To be fair, it would have ruined my day to accidentally ruin the book. Even on my best day.

youreamitch

crying and we’re only 5 minutes in. So happy to see you QT!! Please take your time. Rae has been killing it on the pod regardless but happy we got to see you two together again <: My best friend died back in November and when he passed I felt like the chapter of my youth had closed. I was so depressed I didn’t even sleep on my bed for months; stayed on the floor in the living room where we spent his last couple of days together. It took a while and I know I will never get over it but I know swift if watching over you Qt in all the little ways.

alex

just sending you guys so so much love 💕 it truly proves how great of people you are just for sharing everything you go through with us. from the bottom of my heart i feel for you and wish nothing but the best for you ladies and team. ty always.

Ana

Having spent some time in partial hospitalization, I appreciate the way you're speaking about and sharing your experience, QT. This is so important to talk about with compassion and kindness, but also, straight-forwardness. I detect a bit of internal family systems in the way you're talking about yourself and your parts. This has been such a valuable resource for me and I wish more people used it. Sending so much love. ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🩹
