Wasn’t this posted several hours ago?

LeSalt Shaker

Did they change the title cause it turned out to not be the worst episode yet?

Michael

i think it was uploaded to the wrong tier so they had to reupload it

Babafunlayo Oke

Yeah people take their patriotism seriously. Less so than animals. Was not at all shocked the response Maya got. Remember this is Kkona Murica Don't tread on me, don't try to take my guns, free speech rah rah country.

Jake

That manager is so in the wrong it’s crazy.

kron

Also setting of fireworks without a permit is illegal in many states, just because you can buy them doesn’t make it legal. Also I bet if you look at the pool rules animals weren’t permitted. If people just followed the law/rules then the who’s right who’s wrong discussion can just be avoided!

gsmit

For what it’s worth, most therapists go to graduate programs and those acceptance rates are different than undergrad/ the school overall

Jacob Johns

I thought this was a perfectly fine episode personally

Bri

I hate fireworks. Loud, annoying, smoky, upsets the pets, sets shit on fire. It also lasts waaay more than one day. I’ve been hearing fireworks every day and night since Saturday.

Ridorana12

omg why did people get so unnecessarily hostile over a suggestion? That's absolutely bewildering how passionately hateful people can be with such relatively blind conviction. Anyway....Wineaboudit~~ [Jammies]

AFPiece Investigator

The Maya x Robert Irwin crossover is gonna go dumb stupid hard

bruna

Not the asshole. maybe telling you the kitchen was closing was their way of letting you know they wanted you to leave, but they could have been more clear/polite

Akumu2100

This episode was good. Idk why you think it sucked?

glass kitty

im pretty sure for the try guys wives podcast, Ariel got the choice so she can stay if she wants to and leave if she wants to. i just assumed shes taking a break but idk

Crungo Bungo

seeing pocket frogs really took me back lol i might have to start playing it again

Mitch Mitcherson

what are you talking about ALL the podcasts are good6/10

Tobias

I thought this was a great episode!

john wright

It's worth remembering that all blue check replies (except from your friends/streamers) are not worth reading. Like at all

xoxo_gems

I absolutely hate fireworks. And it’s also illegal here in NYC without a permit, yet on the 4th, there was this huge firework show that caused our air quality to skyrocket and it was 200 to high 300s in certain areas 🙄 it’s also just loud and unnecessary for everyone

udara cs

very chill episode :)

seashell

you werent the asshole. i'm saying this as someone who has worked food service, because it's definitely a tough job. but 18 minutes past close isn't anything unusual. do they want to leave asap, sure, but anyone who has stayed after is either being paid to close or already waiting on you and earning tip. it would surprise me if the last cook was already done with closing duties in 18 minutes unless that place was real dead before. that guy was just a jerk

tilly

i read an insider article the other day on otter cafes in japan (bc of my friend + hasan) and it seems that they capture wild endangered asian small-clawed otters, throw them in tiny cages and give them a diet of cheese only. there's also been police investigations on the yakuza being involved with the otter and exotic pet trade. wish more people would think past the 'wow cute animal' part of animal cafes and realise animals aren't for our entertainment and consider what kind of businesses they're supporting :/

Limelight

I wanna parrot other comments and say that I think you both are too hard on yourselves when it comes to the quality of these episodes. I think they're great??? I laugh at every episode and yeah some are more chill than others, but that's totally fine. Not every episode is going to be off the walls crazy every time, and I love that. I really can't wait for your craft store to open btw <3

Yeah, but they could have ordered more food when asked, so that's the weird thing. In my experience, we told people the kitchen was closing so that the kitchen staff could clean up at closing hit we always would stay open until people finished.

domino

🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇 🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆take that maya

Alex

QT!! antidepressants don't work immediately. Give it a couple of months.... sometimes it gets worse before it gets better ( I know that sucks but be patient and let your support system know).

Abi Fuller

I also read the responses to Mayas tweet and was blown away. Twitter is a rat hole 🐀 If the 'pay and leave' situation had happened to me I would have cried. Seriously not okay, it was harmless like holy crap. Dude was a total prick.

Mars

Hey not meaning to overstep but I am autistic and I do kinda see what you mean qt when you said u think you’re on the spectrum bc I’ve noticed a couple things just from streams and wine about it, not that that means anything bc I definitely could be wrong, but also sometimes it does turn out to be autism instead of adhd and depression and anxiety and ptsd although u definitely can have all those things with or without autism! I’m sorry I’m not trying to diagnose you I’m just trying to help/tell you my experience as someone who was late diagnosed with autism! Either way I hope everything goes well for you, you deserve it!

Micky K

pocket frogs whiiiips its a fun frog time

Bee

Hot take this is one of your best episodes I love you guys just shooting the shit and talking it’s very fun as a trans girl to just listen to girl talk it’s very nice

Ladycilece

Nah, I’ve worked food. If you’re actively eating and not just sitting there chatting, I don’t care if you’re there past close. It’s pretty normal for a few to linger and there’s closing duties to take care of in the meantime. It takes 2 minutes to clean off a table for 2 so I’m definitely not stressed about you. They were just being rude.

Ladycilece

Also; I listen to these episodes every week and I look forward to them every week. I listen while working at my desk and I love the chill conversations. I feel like I’m listening to a causal phone conversation and it feels nice and cosy. Don’t be so hard on yourselves!

Stelly Santor

thank you guys for working so hard, for the environment, streaming community, and overall mental health. please take care of yourselves 🧎‍♀️

Gabby

this is my comfort podcast to listen to; even if you guys feel it was a bad episode to produce and feel like you could do better, i appreciate the effort you guys did put in & enjoyed the episode!

Alex Blythe

Wait what about the whaling uproar on mayas post about grenade harpoons. What were people mad about? The bug interrupted I must know

Jared

I relate to the cucumber analogy heavy

Will

i haven’t stopped playing pocket frogs, i played it when i was little too😭

Kyle Barr

First-hand vasectomy experience -- it's not bad. The anesthesia really is just a pinch, my doctor would check with me that it was taking effect before doing anything more, and then for the actual procedure I couldn't feel anything. Weirdly laid-back experience. Recovery is sore & annoying.

Kitsok

HI qt, im Autistic and ADHD. Diagnose later with 23 years. All my life since my pre-teenagers years is pretty much what you tell about yourself, antidepress working for a while and then not, social but kinda off the vibes, desassociating, strungling to go pass trauma because i felt like i never sleep, sleep and eating schedule a mess, etc etc, you get the point. Im from brazil, i've met others like me (autistic with "high functioning", wich means i pass as not a clear autistic, but compare to the other "normal people" i've always being kinda weird/excetrinc. I'm 100% sure you are autistic and ADHD too. You have all the characterisc of high functioning spectrum. Dyslexic, obssessive, bad in maintaning habits that you now are good for you, that you even like doing it. High moral ruler, always trying to understand what people around you want of you, getting right but with high brain cost. What I believe you have is not exactly depression, is called Autistic Burnout. It behaves like depresion but "its not" because the treatment is different, you have to understand what in the environment around you descharge yout battery. Can be sound, too much socializing, lights, odor, TOC, and many others. I've only got diagnosed because here in brazil the mental health scene increased a lot. So you can be more sure what you have, you need to find a NeuroPsycologist or a NeuroSomenthing. Only the Neuro.... area can have the skills to diagnose autism today, normal psychiatrist and psycologist have a very short and outdated knowledge. Srry for the long text, I wanted to have "enough" information so if you see it can relate to you. Im not parasocial, I started watching you before the diagnose and felt inspire by how you seemed to have the "same" difficulties, but make a living, doing a stream awards and all other creative things. I've got to know others like me, different in personalities but kinda the same issues. Believe me, an autistic is the best to see another one, you are in the spectrum for sure, you are at least a strong neurodivergent (dont ban me mods plsss)

Experimental Cyborg

I've heard three first hand accounts of vasectomies and all of them were nightmares. Abdominal and back pain after the procedure so bad you can't walk for a couple of days and barely function for two weeks to a month, and random pains for up to a year. I'll be waiting for less invasive methods or properly effective temporary male contracaption thankyouverymuch, big yikes. Apparently castration is less problematic than a vasectomy, it's wild. (Though then you get hormonal issues, so also no thanks.)

conway1308

maya the commie. I knew she was awesome.

Jose Marin

The whole restaurant situation I can see both ways. Qt should have kept track of time and wrapped it up by 11 or close to it but the manager should also not have been a dick about it. My guess is he had a long day and people have done this in the past and probably not reacted well when asked to wrap it up. Plus in this TikTok age maybe he thought it could’ve been a trend to see what the restaurant would do if you stayed late. He or the waiter should’ve come by at 11 and said “I’m sorry ladies we are closed or closing and will kindly need you to take the rest of your meal home, would you like a box?” The older I get the more I don’t get what the appeal of fireworks is. Usually it’s just noise not the giant Disneyland fireworks.

Angel M

Yeah that one AITA woman is ridiculous. Not inviting your disabled younger sister because she "may take attention away from you"??? So immature.

Luis A Perez

Don't try to "catch-up" with Taylor talks, that will just burn you out. Just pick it up when you can.

Robyn Walsh

I just want to say that I love this podcast so much. And even when you two think an episode sucks or you’re bad at it, or it’s bad cuz you have no energy just know that I still love it just as much. You guys are real and I’m here for it 🖤

Jason Lee

Waiter/manager is an asshole and a power tripper, plain and simple. To take that attitude while you're literally signing the bill and not offer a to-go box is insane. Maybe he was having a bad day, but saying "you need to pay and leave" as a first resort to a paying customer is just unprofessional and inviting bad reviews/word-of-mouth.

Gabe

Hi- I actually thought this episode was amazing it felt a little more chilled but that was it ok take care <3

Michael

Every time they say “this is the worst we’ve ever done” but… these are my favorite. I’m just here to hear them hang out, shoot the shit, and joke around.

Leah

Love watching your episodes! @Maya I like when you have segments talking about animals and I agree that fireworks suck

chxrry

special guest “shakira shakira” the june bug

SuperCookieGaming

im not surprised qt's therapist said she could have adhd. adhd and autism have a big overlap so you have a decent chance of having both. i have both. and when i take my adhd meds its like my autism shows more. i've also heard from other friends who are both say the same thing. so maybe the adhd meds can help you figure out if you have autism or not.

Arrowni

Let me add Maya's opinions on fireworks as another one of her wins on life knowledge

Katie Drafall

i actually screamed when maya started talking about pocket frogs. i've made so many of my friends get it and my addiction will not cease. my goal is to collect every single morph of frog in the Froggydex

Atticus

It’s not that looking at their colleges is inherently wrong or anything, it’s just that acceptance rates are an extremely flawed metric of comparing colleges, degrees, or general intelligence and quality of work. I’d at least look into the individual colleges and their respective traits if I were to compare them that way rather than a guesstimate percentage rate on a flawed and biased system of evaluation.

Alanna M

I wouldn't want to swim in a pool that a dogs swim in either
