I love Maya's new hair!

Klav

b. (forsen reference)

Glitch

why does maya keep skipping school

Alex

LOOOOOOOOVE the hair

Ivvyandvine

I sat next to Ludwig at QTs set and watched him film it and almost said aren’t you supposed to FaceTime maya lol

Michael Kiwan

It’s so funny people think this is a wine review podcast

SuperPax

Omg tbe baby story brought me to tears that is so awful I'm so mad why would they do that

Sam

qt I was going to go to your stand up but got too socially anxious I am sorry but if it makes you feel any better I would NOT have laughed just to blow smoke up your ass.. i am sure you were actually funny foreal

SuperPax

You let them down. If you see something say something smh 😞

Ivvyandvine

I let the troops down this time.

Ivvyandvine

But we’ll never forget

Kathy Jennings

What if you had someone who actually liked wine do a review in each episode and they had to be funny? I am thinking of someone like Ryan the Weatherman on Jeff FM.

Chaotic Pagan Tiger

Practicing witch here. I am pagan/Hindu religious wise. Hardcore animist.

FullPlaid

the hair and nails are poppin'

Infidusfiles

Maya made an incredible point about the fact that there is a subset of people who get off on the inherent non consent of the image. It is truly evil because they then hide behind “you signed up for it” and there is no willingness to take accountability for the evil they are taking part in and enjoying. They absolve themselves of any possibility of guilt or responsibility for their actions. People in the public eye deserve better and I hope someone in the fanbase has a better idea of how to stop it.

rae

people getting posted online anywhere without their consent has got to be made illegal, unless it's a situation where you're filming the police or something like that. my brother is in middle school and has come across tiktok accounts with photos of him taken from a distance (part of some like "emos of [middle school]" account). my other sibling, who is very visibly trans, has caught random people filming them multiple times. this shit makes my blood boil.

Limelight

I'm wondering if resources that normally help with getting deep fakes taken down would also be able to take down any of your photos from that specific site?

N.N.

So QT is mad at someone who she says don't really look like Taylor Swift, who says they are not trying to be Taylor Swift, because she is convinced she is trying to look like Taylor Swift? To me, it feels almost as weird that you are so hung up her. Why is this "impersonator" so important to you? 😂

Ed

You could try to get the website delisted from Google and Bing, I heard Atrioc say that's what they do for AI stuff they should be willing to do the same for this.

Duncandoughnuut

Random thought T-Pain streams on Twitch and back in 2009 he did a parody song with Taylor Swift called Thug Story. He might not have her personal number now but he probably has a contact that does.

Jimijaymes Productions

WIcca and many neo-pagan religious groups are really interesting because like all religion they draw from various fictional and intended non-fiction literature, history and beliefs except in a more modern sense drawing from what many would consider contemporary literature. That site should just do what it says on the label (consensual admiration of larger women) instead its just mainly objectifying celebs in a publicly gross way without consent, its like old school creepy vibe of those forums that used to be full of revenge porn and private nude hacks.

James

I’m really sorry about that awful fucking website. There’s a real chance that Ceartas, the DCMA tool that Atrioc worked with, would be able to be extended to delist these from Google at the very least?

Kas1290

FYI, the site qt is referencing took down the thread about her. Positive resolution.

keenen 🦧

This person has been copying Taylor’s look for ages - her whole thing is copying Taylor but saying ‘I just look like this’ (doesn’t do anything outside of this really)- so to anyone who knows this, and has seen it happening for years, it is quite annoying and almost stalker-like, which i think is in part why QT is annoyed.

Jose Marin

-maya, love the hair. Started looking more and more natural as the episode went on! -my wife is a witch but def not into covens and such at least not in the way maya described them. The way I know wiccans is basically as an earth based religion. She believes in spiritual and nature energy, crystals and overall just manifesting stuff through belief and help from worldly energy. A while back I looked at pagan rituals and realized that Christianity took a lot of those holidays, like Christmas, and changed them a little to say they created them when in reality they just stole them because the original holidays were popular. For a religion that claims to be about love and such it’s probably one of the most hate filled and genocidal religion. -that baby story was sad af. :/ I deactivated my twitter so I feel I miss a lot of these stories now -regarding brigades, personally not a fan of sending mobs to give 1 star ratings because you didn’t like their food. Imo unless you’ve had an interaction with the place then you shouldn’t leave a review. That sad, had nothing to do with that disgusting website and hope it gets taken down. There’s def a huge fetishized with down things that women don’t want, some power aspect that some guys get off on. Anyways great episode and plz don’t let the bonus be all scooter Braun talk 🙏🏼

Alondra H

Mayas hair looks amazing I love it 😭❤️

FullPlaid

oh that fan was totally negging you after your stand up

Sarah

i went to qt's standup and i thought it was great! Laughed throughout her entire set and all the other acts were funny too. sorry qt had such a horrible fan interaction at the end, we dont claim them!

FullPlaid

there are ways to identify people taking screenshots. its more effective at the platform developer level but it is still possible at the content creation level. the fact that platforms are not implementing these strategies is suspect.

77katz77

People not understanding that there doesn't need to be an H don't get the bit

hazzie

that website is extrmely gross but you did actually figure out how to stop it in this episode, just do the Maya Reddit underage strategy and they're donezo

starlitstellaa

both the story about the baby and about that website made me sick to my stomach. just hearing the comments from that website almost triggered me, im so glad the website got taken down <3 and as always thank you for talking about your mental health stuff qt it makes me feel much less alone

Georgette Rosin

lol idc about whether or not wine is drank during the show. sour people though ~ people playing doctor internet, haha.. she's on like a baby dose, guize. and klonopin is a life saver, i was on it for 10 years, and then switched to ativan after i realized my panic attacks were less frequent. some stuff works better for others, yall.

Sovde

re: the salem witch trials, my mother is a direct descendent of John Proctor, who was rather famously convicted of witchcraft with Elizabeth Basset, his wife, in 1692. So now, whenever something weird or spooky happens around my mom, it leads to a chorus of "she's a witch!". on a more relevant note: great episode, I loved the wine review!

77katz77

Agreed. At some point, if it comes to it, YT and Twitch could do what Netflix does and make it impossible to take a screenshot. Not a perfect solution obviously but then people have to at least click a link to view a video, etc

ohmymira

omg i went to the same animatronic show and it truly was so bad ... not worth the money at alll and just felt weird idk

soloPFL

What I understood about the reason for the witch hunting and the misogynistic origins of the Hexen Hammer is that it gave an easy excuse to insecure men to kill educated women who could do things (cure illnesses by knowing which herbs to use for example) and that spiraled to the mass executions we know about. To preserve the structure of power of the church and men. E.g. In 1630 in the city of cologne many women accused of being a witch were midwives blamed for stillborn or disabled babies. It’s such a dark part of history.

E ✨

People who pretend to be celebrities are so strange. It’s one thing to look like a celebrity & acknowledge it or have people acknowledge it, but it’s another thing to alter your life/appearance to resemble said celebrity & then go out of your way to trick fans in public. There’s a few of them that even buy the same clothes as the celebrity & go out in public pretending they’re them. Some of them even change their hair & get small surgeries on their face to make themselves look more like the celebrity. It’s extremely creepy & cringe.

Tim Donnelly

i didnt get a sticker last month *ultra sad face*

Devyn

Slime is going to need better pick up lines if he's ever going to find a floor wife :(

cierra

omg i love that maya and winnie match 🧡

cierra

sounds like you had a great first set qt, let’s go!! sending support from the east coast 🫡 also maya being the supportive dance mom friend watching qt doing her set is so good

Angela

Witchcraft varies wildly from practitioner to practitioner. Not all witches are Wiccan. Not all witches are religious. There are some Christian witches, some who are polytheists, some witches who do work with spirits and some who work with demons and darker entities. Some witches just work with nature and the elements, some use crystals and herbs and tarot cards. Some use divination. Your own craft is personal and entirely your choice, though there are arguments about closed practices from certain cultures. But there's a lot of variables.

huniebeeXD

I was honestly pretty nervous to watch this episode because I wasn't sure what was going to be said about Witches, (I've been on my journey since 2019). However it ended up being really nice and fun! Here's some thing I wanted to mention (for me): ~We may not believe anything about the Devil, however Lucifer can be a Deity. ~Most Witches/Pagans/Wiccans I know, worship Deities (like gods). It can be one or many. I personally connect with three. (Like Aphrodite, Hecate, Artemis etc..) ~Lastly, I wanted to share that there are actually different types of Witches! Like Green (Nature), House, Crystal, Kitchen or just mixtures of a bunch of them! I hope this was informative! Everyone has their own experiences with Witchcraft, this was mine. :) Keep up the awesome content! <3

Samantha

That's the exact hair inspo pic I use when I get my hair done

Cynthia Soly

i definitely needed a trigger warning for that hospital story 🫠 made feel a bit sick and i got way too detailed visual imagination, it was a bit too much 😂😂

Zay

Good episode. Maya looks different. I saw some witch stuff on tiktok where some guy called the witches out on bs and he volunteered to the witches on tiktok to essentially be a test subject to see if they weren't capping. I thought it was pretty interesting. The hospital story is crazy I don't know what I would do in that situation. It's funny that maya brought up the Ariana Grande impersonator when talking about the Taylor Swift impersonator because as an Ariana Grande fan myself I was thinking about that. It's crazy because it's literally almost every aspect of their internet personality is dedicated to being that celebrity. I mean even as if it wasn't insane levels of dickeating, it's still very cringe.

Adoggman

Maya, you should read Caliban and the Witch. It's all about witch hunts and is very well researched. Goes into how it had a lot to do with controlling women and increasing birth rates.

Hummingbeigh

You'll probably heard of this website https://stopncii.org/, but I found out about it recently. Maybe they could help take down the images?

Constructo

I wish all the non-consensual posting of images could be just wiped from the internet. It seems like whack-a-mole though and it will always happen :(

Krosech

Yeah shit like that will probably never go away. That's just how the internet is..

Marcus Holmberg

Can't the team that has helped Atrioc assist with this? They are like a DMCA company

SVZN77

m ayas response of "..... Slime's funny" may have just killed me

Ridorana12

That story involving the lawsuit in Georgia of the deceased newborn was tragic as hell. I hope the mother will be okay... Happy Thursday~ c:

Michal Dobrzynski

I really hated myself for being male after watching how much hate men seem to have towards women. I know it's not universal but it's very off-putting. I even question whether I'm misogynistic a lot of the time because it seems so pervasive that I'm not certain I'm not part of the problem.

Michal Dobrzynski

As things continued, I was increasingly depressed and hated myself for being a man. Not on the podcast hosts. It's just me. Men suck.

Juliana McKenna

Lol that tells nothing of my character. I’m only saying it because the ratios of men and women the view this podcast actually triggers me and I would like more girly Allies or more men who want another female homie 💅🏼

BS

I would never want to join a fake coven unlike all those totally real covens. I feel like I listen to to much Ross and Carrie because as soon as they talked about naked rituals. I was like oh no it's going to be a sex cult

DeftCG

I would guess that the decapitation they are referring to is internal decapitation, like the neck broke but the head didn't literally come off, but I could be totally wrong. I just think it would be much much more difficult to hide the fact that you remove an entire head prior to beginning a c section. Regardless, absolutely awful story.

wordxvomit

First of all, size does not define beauty. Period. Second, people that post pictures of others online without their knowledge or consent are disgusting. No one deserves that, and I hope you all figure out a way to hold these people accountable for their actions or at the very least, get the images removed. Also, maybe a trigger warning before the hospital story wouldn't be remiss. Though it is an interesting topic, it evokes some very graphic images that I could see being quite upsetting to some people.

Julie T

as a hasan viewer, why do i just *know* that fear& fan was a has frog

Syd

Men do suck but it’s men (general) not you as a man individually. Individuals can be amazing people who try their best to be empathetic and understanding :) you seem to have that empathy. Don’t hate yourself, we all live in this pig stye of a society with mud on ourselves

Melanie Stewart

The fact that i have never thought about this blows my mind

Ash

maya, hasan knows john mayer bc hasan is friends with like his producer or sm

John

The simplest way to take down the website is to contact the domain registrar and hosting service en masse to report abuse. This is how kiwi farms was mostly forced off the web. The domain registrar for this website is GoDaddy and the hosting service is OVHcloud. The IP of the website says it’s located in Toronto. I don’t know if the people behind the website are located there or if they are just using one of OVHcloud’s data centers in Canada. They are also using Cloudflare for some services. Cloudflare caved to pressure with kiwi farms so they are more likely to listen now if you were to complain.

em

okay to be clear, most of us are NOT Wiccans (Wicca has some weird racist shit in it). most witches who practice today have their own relationships with any deity they resonate with. it's a pagan and personal practice. i've a coven of 3 and we just are like a group chat and share spells etc. anyone can be a witch and every human has a natural ability of manifestation, etc.

SK J

Just want to say that you telling us about your experience with the gross website and any other horrible situations that people put you through is a girlboss move, youre taking away stigma bit by bit and I love to have you guys as rolemodels.

Mia Christensen

great episode girlies🥰, i love when Maya gets into some random stuff and give little talks about it on the pod. Also its so funny, cause in my experience i feel like 90% of the witches ive met are really really gay

Bailey

i'm a witch i practice witchcraft not a lesbian but i am pansexual lmao my beliefs more closely align with paganism but i'm not actually religious more so just spiritual ✨

Steven Precourt

If you went to school in Massachusetts, you are forced to take field trip to the Salem Witch trial museum, and I agree it's so stupid. Massachusetts is very much "We hate ourselves" vibes. 🤣
