2001 born here lol… also this episode is good but 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

Rich

Maya is turning into the Ancient Aliens guy. Not a complaint still great content.

mgnnn

does anyone know if the group in rdr2 at beavers hollow (murfree brood) are based off the "bean clan" qt was talking about? They sound really similar

Michael Kiwan

I wanna hear Taylor’s potential sugar daddy story

Upsidedown

Castor oil gave me the confidence to make this comment.

Jose

Water scientist here and I’m like 4 minutes in but just mentioning this before I forget. Minerals in water are wicked. Many people not on central water live on springs perfectly healthy! They’re usually very aware with what goes on with their wells from the well owners I’ve spoken to. Some live off bottled and use their spring water for everything but consumption. Fun fun.

ali

obsessed with qt's german accent

Ali

the hills have eyes movie messed me up when i was younger and to learn that there is a possible real life family that snatched people and ate them is absolute insanity.

E ✨

Back in the day they’d use castor oil (it had to be a lot) for abortions-it’s not safe & can cause permanent sterilization, but it worked for some

Aleks

highlight was Agnes Black Douglas being dislexia'd into Black Angus Douglas, the cannibal cow

kerk

time to watch yellowjackets, maya

2026-09-10 12:00 My birth year is 2001, and I did not exist at the time of 9/11 Side note: I also suffer from really bad ocd & hypochondria and It makes me feel more normal when QT talks about it

First off, it is mind boggling the difference between qt before and after therapy. She really looks like an npc when she’s out of it 😭 Cannibalism-not an advocate for it but crazy how we view things based on them being strange to us. Lot of countries eat horses, cats and dogs but it’s gross and weird to us because we only see them as pets. Some ppl eat human as a ritual/spiritual practice and we find it disgusting. I’m with maya on this one, if it’s ritualistic and they’re not killing anyone them fine! The alternatives are burn them to ashes or bury the body to decompose, sounds weird to me either way Lastly- question, why couldn’t qt and lud get ice cream alone? Why would the whole group have to go? Cute what he did just curious why it had to involve everyone?

eirysse

when qt is talking about the weird fine dining cannibalism it remindss me of the movie thje menu - which is actually rly good i recomend lol

Rachel

Had to skip a lot of this episode cause it was a bit too disturbing for me 😅 hoping for a lighter Patreon episode

Georgette Rosin

"scared we dont want drama" um more like smart you dont start unnecessary bullshit because yall dont have the mentality of a 15 year old whose boyfriend was stolen from under their wing* ***and no, that isnt a thing that happened, but im using it as a metaphor for a certain someone's behavior and the drama they caused. i <3 this podcast. ALSO on the cannibal topic, there was a dude who posted on the internet forever ago, and talked (and posted?) about how he had to get his leg amputated and fed it to his friends. no joke. i think its a reddit post somewhere.

Moondust

Very good episode, I would love hearing more of spooky stuff from you both.

eirysse

a crossover with cancelled and wine about it would be so so good btw!! idk if it would be qt and maya or just qt (maya doesnt collab right?) but either way would love to watch!!

Devyn

This was one of the strangest episodes ever but I also loved it lmao QT, I'm so happy you have someone like Lud to help you when you're struggling cuz I can only imagine how hard it would be dealing with all that on your own💙 Hope you're feeling better this week🫶🏻

DaddyWarbucks

From a moral standpoint, i think its totally fine to eat human flesh if you're in a survival scenario, or had permission like its a cultural thing

Julie T

thank you so much for the squeex npc moment

Taylor

I think it could be funny for Maya to listen to an episode or two of Fear& and give her review. Could start a little fun drama between the two podcasts.

alexandra

love you girls and this podcast but this episode made me physically sick 😵‍💫🤢

Jenna Palenski

I’m kind of shocked this isn’t the Patreon episode. You would think you tube wouldn’t like this kind of stuff

starlitstellaa

do NOT try to eat food while listening to this ep. i am regretting my life decisions. this is extremely entertaining and i want to throw up

starlitstellaa

the back half of this ep is the hardest ive laughed in a minute, the disney channel party context is SO funny, esp bc i just rewatched both the yard ep and the wai ep from that time

77katz77

Just wanted to say thanks for the Happy Birthday

love7ick

You guys should watch Yellowjackets! It's about a high school girls soccer team that has to survive in the wilderness for months since they were involved in a plane crash, it includes topics like cannibalism. Now that I think about it, maybe QT shouldn't because of the plane crash.

Robert Fisher

Need an episode of Taylor stories please

FullPlaid

lol honestly fascinating moral-philosophy discussion. i think the most interesting aspect are the logical inconsistencies in moral frameworks from small scale to large scale (individual to group to cultural). specifically, how a person can claim that its not immoral to consume flesh from a deceased human being - who wasnt murdered for their flesh - in the context of survival, while others would claim it is immortal because of a sense of morality or a gut-feel. also the hilarious objections to sexuality that are not as well defined or well accepted in the cultural norms but nonetheless equally harmless, if not more so. were often surprised when looking back at older shows/movies and the focus of humour or ridicule that was well accepted during its time (so much so that we may have cried laughing when it first came out) but is now considered so offensive that if someone deviates slightly from the current collective they are ostracized -- even outcastes (i.e. cancelled). BUT what about now? what do we laugh at/object to/ridicule that will be considered normative a decade from now? if we discovered what that might be, would we fight for it now despite facing backlash but being on the correct side of history? the most recent instance is probably trans. looking back at old shows or not so old shows (such as The Big Bang Theory), it was transexual/non-binary jokes fairly frequently. i was super captivated by this episode. my therapy session tomorrow should be interesting lol.

Duncan

I will never try to listen to your podcast on lunch break again

Zay

Not gonna lie an in-depth analysis of cannibalism as a podcast topic was not on my bingo card. Nonetheless, a good episode at that. I will say for me I thought cannibalism for survival would be a given since it's like murder but for survival. It's all circumstantial. But I will say I do find it interesting how the scope of our existence as humans can be overlooked as I see that we as humans have the capacity for literally anything imaginable, if that makes sense. Just a weird shower thought while listening to the pod.

jaspersjourney

Not the freudian psychoanalyzation of cannibalism 😭

Ridorana12

Spooky Scary Skeletons~

benoverse

I just love listening to this podcast it’s the weekly check in with the girls 😅 but all the same share what you guys want. I always appreciate that you guys talk about mental health (when you want to) makes people feel less alone in the struggle

Shaun Cheah

Depends how you define "you"! The ovum which (with a contribution of genetic information from your dad) eventually develops into the foetus which eventually develops into the human being that most people would recognize as you was actually inside your mother since well before she was born! I think I read that all the eggs a lady'll ever have develop within her around five months after conception or thereabouts.

kron

that guys crazy for having a birthday party every year. hollywood socialites amiright

Joe Conway

Never watching this pod while eating ever again

Scrando

I love the eps where you pick a topic, do some research then talk about it!

N.N.

I agree. It's fine. PS: her new hobby is (socially acceptable) cannibalism

Ellaabunny

CPTSD gang gang gang 👏🏻

Treyden Talbot

I could never eat someone. I would absolutely starve first. but morally I agree that it's fine

Mitch Mitcherson

if you eat human meat while you watch it it’s not that gross

ohmymira

qt looks so good omg 😭😭😭😭

Tim Donnelly

I normally am pretty good with graphic descriptions but, i had to go watch this over on youtube because i needed to skip some of the cannibalism stuff and needed chapters to skip to.

Shunbound

It's probably just as hard today to discern the truth as it was back then. Different versions of the same uncertainty.

Sorin

I am at 1/3 in the video and I am like: wtf am i watching :)) but it's entertaining

Eli Bergsma

Fun fact: cannibalism (particularly of the brain) by the Fore people in New Guinea lead to an epidemic of a fatal brain disorder called kuru. It's the "mad cow" disease of people (transmissible spongiform encephalopathy/prion disease). The government (and missionaries) were able to discourage the practice and it has now since been essentially eradicated.

katie

omg same I almost fainted at work I had to stop watching and go lay down lol

Tito Zapata

I know a lot about the guy that offered to be eaten alive because there’s like two metal songs I know about it haha

Lichterloh

God this comment will seem weird because I wanna touch on to very opposing topics from the podcast :D First, I'm from germany and was like 10 years old when the whole Armin Meiwes stuff happened. I remember everyone talking about it, it was everywhere in the media and obviously never thought twice about how horrible it is. It's interesting to think about it now, because consent is a much bigger topic today and because I never thought about having a fetish you can't change back then. All in all I think I'm on board with Maya here for the general topic. Second, I legit started tearing up when QT talked about Lud putting the Fitbit on her arm. That's really sweet and also just a good idea, I don't think I would have thought of that! Love you guys.

Ayjayy

Can confirm, am that college girl born in 2001 singing Taylor Swift ahah

Brandon Kelly

35 minutes and Maya just exclaimed “NOOO” and that sums up how im feeling about basically the entire episode up to this point lmao. Skin is crawling

Phatchopolis

Great ep as usual. Shot in the dark. I need to start seeing someone for worsening mental health issues. I know one episode Maya and Qt talked about a site you could search for therapists and see how well they were reviewed by patients. Anyone know the site or remember the episode to find it in?

starlitstellaa

90 percent sure the website is psychology today! you just put in your zip code/city and you can filter by specific issues and insurance stuff too. i used it as well and i found a therapist and psychiatrist through there super easily! if you have insurance, they'll have a website with in-network people too. good luck and congratulations on searching for help when you need it <3

Phatchopolis

Awesome. Many thanks. That’s my plan. Cross referencing doctors that take my insurance. I was already looking at their directory today.

Stelly Santor

no joke i was on the freeway and when QT was finding ways for fetishes to be okay I WAS DYING

Kabir Singh

@starlitstellaa It indeed was Psychology Today! Good luck Phil. Therapy is wicked. I love it.

Terrance Cennon

Awww, I have an oximiter for when I'm anxious about my heart too. Used to have panic attacks and think it was a heart attack. I'm better now, lexapro helped. I only take like 5mg though, it's like a half dose. Anything more made me feel different, not a fan.

Bassam

The cannibal wife's name was Agnes, not Angus lmao. Dyslexia hits again

megan

me, a 22 year old born in 2001 that loves taylor swift, that was only 4 months old when 9/11 happened and definitely didn’t know this happened. you guys nailed it

Moose

I hope I’m not the only one that realized that Sawney and Bean from AOT are named after the guy mentioned this ep.

Dave M

OMG 20min I'm traumatized 😨🫥
