So good to see a Wine About It in person again!

LunaticLynn

it wouldn't be a good tuesday without a new wine about it episode on patreon

LunaticLynn

definitely the gay-la with all the pretty women attending and maya & qt just stunned with those interviews lol such a fun time

emmy ★彡

Don’t have time to watch the episode rn but just wanted to say y’all were AMAZING and it’s so incredible to see how much money you guys raised. thank you for everything you guys do!

vindo

Can I just say that Mayas outfits looks so good, the orange hair and blue pullover go so well together

Klav

forsen

Glitch

IRL EP LETS GOOOOOOO

Bari

Apparently for hypnosis to work the person has to allow them selves to get hypnotized

LeahGia

An idea for a future gala segment could be an improv show (sorta like streamer camp) but you could also get/hire a few professionals to participate and facilitate it. That would incorporate streamers and is kinda similar to the hypnotist (which is kinda improv also) in the ways that made that segment entertaining (streamers doing crazy shit). Just an idea. As a side note, you both looked incredible and the entire event was so fun to watch!!

Ali Elizabeth

As soon as I saw Maya chug that drink, I said "oh no, she's going to frow up".

Marcus Fenix

I'm freaking out and losing my goddamn mind

MARIO Speedwagon

Little did she know the total was going to be more like 250k! Lets Gooooooooooo

bl00dzee

Classic corporate QT forcing people back into the office, not letting Maya work from home smh

Glitch

I feel like for one of the galas, the entertainment has to be where streamers in the audience come up in a talent show style entertainment and entertain the crowd but you keep it a surprise until that moment Or maybe some karaoke?

Julie T

the whiplash of QT's emotional vet story to then maya suggesting a furry gala

violet

GLITCH! your the one who got the cursed cake? so cool !

Michael Kiwan

Did the audio start to echo around the 45 minute mark or was that just me?

Grey

Austin was more committed to giraffe than showing up on Fear & !! LOL

Jose Marin

Not sure what the feedback request was for but in person episodes are 100 times better. The vibes are better and there’s not dead air or awkwardness. As a viewer the gala was one of the more fun and enjoyable events I’ve watched, the hypnotist was def annoying but funny once it got going. You guys did an amazing job!

Jacob Ickes

We got a very short snippet of it when Caroline was selling herself but she would have KILLED as the auctioneer

Tionsofcoffee

My feedback is give swift a mic too

TenaciousDealer

I absolutely loved the Gala, it was fantastic. Everyone looked like they had so much fun (outside of a couple of the people having to suffer being yanked about by the charlatan). The outfits were amazing with a lot of people putting in a lot of effort and the gifts for the auction were super cool and unique. Will was of course perfect as the auctioneer and I agree that you would probably have an easier time getting people to put themselves forward for the auction next time! Which also would be great for some of the smaller streamers that didn't feel they could splash out as much cash as the Hasan/Ludwig/Rae etc. I would love to see you run one of these every year if you can, it's truly an amazing thing to do and was so much fun. My god I'd love to see an Ocean themed Gala it would look so amazin (time for Peach to don the Octopus prosthetics or something lmao).

Glitch

I did indeed get the cursed cake lol

Ochain224

"I cant think of a woman who could command an audience like Will" all you gotta do is look at his partner 🤭 Caroline would go off

Chris

i love the idea of future auctions being different animal causes. i think one for marine life would be cool and lead to some interesting outfits! and the cat and dog theme maya mentioned could maybe be broadened to domesticated animals?

Leah

They have these comedian shows at cons that would be super funny like improvers and such!!

Abby

swift is the mascot

Jake

i thought the hypnotist was fine

Wyatt

Great episode

Raths

Ngl i love this style on the floor in person. It feels more connected like “friends gossiping” rather than something formal

77katz77

Swift Pillow merch?

Lyre Songbird

This was such an amazing event!! I could not stop smiling the whole time watching!! It felt real and good vibes. Also save the rainforest!!! Please do something like this again, maybe next time have it aquatic themed or a different region of endangered animals. Maybe have the gala be a masquerade so people can have masks or face paint to look like the animal!! Or whatever! Just thank you for this event qt and maya and I hope you all do this again to save some more animals and for some fun!

77katz77

Yes. Space presumably wasn't in the Discord call cuz they were in person and they probably didn't know about it.

Infidusfiles

The event was so much fun to watch! The red carpet and the presentations by Maya and Suzanne were my favorite parts! For “shows” to watch after the date auction, you could do a talent show, karaoke, a dance lesson, magic. Animal related charities are amazing and absolutely allow for so much creativity while still giving a solid framework to start with, though If you eventually want to branch out into other charities you could do video game related ones like able gamers and have people cosplay or “Disney bound” with inspired outfits. Same for art restoration or education related ones. If you do a child hunger related one you could have people dress themed to their favorite fruits or vegetables and have each person bring a family recipe, it’s less a show and tell and more a donated recipe book which people could then order copies of (granted logistics and costs might be too much) This comment is gigantic but I enjoy every event QT makes and my favorite Wine About It episodes are the “post event” ones because the logistics and retrospectives are so interesting. Thanks again for a great episode!

Mando Chil

The event was beyond incredible. It's so cool to see such a large amount of money raised for such an important issue. Maya, your presentation was so thorough and to the point. I enjoyed it so much!!

QT, Maya, After working 10 hours in B2B software corporate bullshit, this podcast is everything. Please understand this impact you have for people like me. I’m certain others feel this way. You created a product where people can unwind and enjoy without pressure. It’s watching two successful stressed people create a space for others to escape the pressure of working~~ while working. I’m sure there are people dealing with much more than I that find some outlet from your work. And you should be very proud. — a random listener

Shelby

Just an assumption here. But maybe they turned the womens restroom into the all gender bathroom because non binary people might feel more comfortable or safer with women than men. It’s weird if there is an all gender and men’s room for the men to use the all gender option, mostly because the women’s restroom normally has crowding issues lol.

Abby Traum

yay I've been looking forward to the gala debrief

CranBerryHex

Did you guys take any selfies with your dresses you guys looked so gorgeous in your dresses on stream. But can’t find any detailed photos of your fits. ❤️

cierra

also excited for this gala debrief!!! such an amazing event, love to hear directly from your perspectives :) just got to the hypnotist part and lmaoooo “ironically funny but unironically kinda bad” is so spot on that shit was crazy

Qchecker 33

Gala was so fun, thank you for putting it on I learned so much and the auction was super cool and interesting.

quackalex45

i dont want to push them to canceling the podcast and i really do love the pod no mater the format (discord totally works) but they mesh so well when theyre in the same room. the quick remarks to one another just flowed so snappy this episode and really gave off the "two friends who spent the last 72 hours together doing something big" kind of comradery that just feels fun! btw gala was awesome!

FullPlaid

i enjoy the podcast name. its like a hilarious bit of inconsequential controversy lol but if its holding you back, is it possible to do a dual/multi podcast release and see what gets better traction? i mean same exact episode but different names. i also like the format as is. the only partial expectation is that someone is going to let out some steam about whatever but otherwise its just chill vibes. other than that, is it possible to do mini podcast episodes with various formats to like A-B test or something. idk, you both are awesome together, so im in for whatever you both decide.

eyeris

I think I really enjoy the podcast because of your personalities and friendship (in an ever so slightly parasocial way), even though you are still looking for a format that feels right and works. The Jenna & Julien podcast kind of felt the same to me, and they really managed to find the right format for them. Maybe their pods could offer some inspiration! It's not a case of copy-paste of course, but as and underlying structure I can imagine it could be helpful. Loved the gala and this debrief! :)

poutinelife

It was a great event; informative, entertaining, and funny. Thank you!

domino

They’re so back

Babafunlayo Oke

Maya is great on this conservation stuff. Who knew?! (joke btw)

Anthony Snider

It’s less weird to tell a waiter you don’t like something and more weird going to Olive Garden and not liking their breadsticks but we still love you

Sunrayz

Poor Aimen being forgoten as their token Bi friend

MK 1XA

the mic quality for this one is top tier i love it (i might be just high tho)

Dani

If you can do a remote setup like this, with no phones, it will feel so much better. Just imagine a split screen and the setup is like it is this episode, please invest in your remote setups ASAP. The desktop stream setup is really bad for a podcast and it seems like no effort is put into it from a visual standpoint

Taylor

I would love to see a gala where its set to help pets and everyone looks like furries.

Austin

I was so confused when I heard Lud mention that the venue only had a men’s bathroom and an all gender bathroom too, but I just realized it’s probably labeled that way because the men’s room has urinals and stalls and the all gender bathroom more than likely only has stalls

Bayless

thanks for sharing your time together with us! <3

D

So based for that

Bassam

she did it. She frew up

Virilikus

The Hypnotist segment was super funny in an ironic way for sure. It works on normies because like he says the whole time, it only works if you WANT to be hypnotized, and normies paying to go to a hypnotist show all want that. Then there is the crowd mentality of not wanting to let anyone down so each person assumes they're the only one it isn't working on and just goes along with what they're told to fit in. There's also the fact he incorporates telling people that if it works on them they are so smart and accepting of the hypnotism and it means they are capable of going into that deep state and that they'll be the star of the show.

Sentry Jman

have jerma to a magic show

Fi

Maya looks like a pixie! Thanks for doing the event QT, it was fun to watch and I hope ur proud of urself

Shunbound

Maybe I'm being parasocial. But Will telling QT that she does to many events feels like its because of the strain it puts on her mental health. Not necessarily because of event fatigue.

Megan Cormier

Next year Maya should convince ludwig to auction Jackie so she never has to see him again lol

Eli Bergsma

100% They talk about it all the time on Fear& and it seems super obvious to me that Will is down to do anything QT wants, but he knows putting on events effects her mental so he wants to remind her that she should only be taking on as much work as she is comfortable with.

MrKirbs

My feedback for Swift is to not fake being sick that one time

LokeyLB

As a viewer who watches these streamers, any time I catch them talking about any of QT's events, they are always positive and excited. Even the out of state people are ready to drop everything to go to a QT event. If you do have the means & bandwidth, you should absolutely do this again next year! You'll always have a guest list and streamers will always want to come. Not even just for exposure but because they actually enjoy & truly have a great time at them! This was a great time from a viewer perspective as well :)

Oliver McEldon

I think QT is good at witty humour, it's literally just that she's more chill and not as like loud and energetic compared to people like Will and Austin

Duncandoughnuut

Even Swift couldn't hold it together when they started talking about Jessica.

Arrowni

I really hope one day QT gets to fully expérimenté the satisfaction that goes with pulling off these events, she's the goat not only of the throat

Steve

For free in the intro????

Devyn

"are any of our friends even bi" Aimen in the corner crying :'( lmao

Okta

Congrats on the Gala. Ye guys did great!

Lichterloh

I'm so excited to see you together again <3

Lezzleee

Peer pressure of an audience and suggestion to act is exactly how it works with normies with hypnotism. His little audience warmup, he spies out the people who are more willing to try and picks volunteers who are already clearly outgoing & ready to play along.

Alanna M

Omg an ocean theme would be amazing next year!
