Curious what the complaining is about hmmm we’ll find out tomorrow. It’s funny how the stuff both wanna talk about is stuff neither wants to hear about 😂 maya and the will Taylor make it to Super Bowl and qt and bugs. Besides the inappropriate behavior, that fashion from those egyptologists was sick! Ppl love to hate on “different” things So maya kind of did this and I think it would be a cool addition to have a quick recap of the episode like she did today!

thank you unpaid Reddit intern

Sentry Jman

fun fact the 90day fiance guy uses mayo as shampoo

Megan the Stallion is used to disses about her size. She was called horseface or something similar in school, that's where the Stallion part of her stage name comes from. I am a fan of Nicki Minaj but Nicki's also known for being a hothead as we've seen. Tends to happen when you're from The Bronx.

every girl yearns for an unconditional unabastard love

As an archaeologist, admittedly not an Egyptology expert in any regard, I have heard about this couple here and there before. I had not heard about the student-teacher relationship, which leaves a weird enough taste around their whole situation, power dynamics, cheating, academic integrity etc. As far as I can tell, their aesthetic has brought them a lot of hate for a couple of reasons. On one hand, people just seem to really not like the very elaborate and performative aspect of it. I think to a lot of archaeologists it just seems really pretentious. On the other, I think that for many their style and the exclusively pre-40s era that they portray harkens back to a period of colonial archaeology. For context, this was a time when, in places such as Egypt, much of the archaeological and cultural historical research was being funded and undertaken by European and North American research institutions with money from wealthy benefactors. These projects were dictating the history of these peoples and their culture with little to no consideration for the local stakeholders. This was the reality of a lot of archaological research in the preceeding centuries by that point. All part of the larger colonial machine, terrible ideologies, motivations, and practices included. Much of the material from these excavations and research projects was being extracted from their context and transported away from their origins into museums around the world or into the illegal artifact trade and private collections. Arguably, the field of archaeology is still dealing with its colonial past/present and has in many ways continued to engage in some of these practices, but these are whole rabbit holes to go down themselves. As I see it, that is why they have been getting some hate, beyond their weird relationship. Sorry for a long one, rambling on my couch late at night.

I’m autistic and I’ve seen one season of love on the spectrum, I would recommend that you watch it. There are some sweet moments, some unbearably cringe moments, some heartbreaking moments, same as any other reality dating show. I think the producers did a respectable job, but I can only speak for one season

LeahGia

Wait who is the person?

Ruben

I've not watched much of Love on the spectrum myself, but my mother loves it I think. I'm pretty sure they are very respectful on that show, and not exploitative.

Sasha

That stream where QT cried, I was like yeah go girl - It's really disheartening to know people were mean about that too, ugh. About the 'imagine you have the person blah blah' thing the only people I have heard that type of thing seriously from are f-boys - My partner and I would definitely say it to each-other if the situation arose, but we'd be laughing. P.S. Un-paid intern, bravo!

Sasha

Ewwww

Greg Chuggs

The team probably wont want Kelce go to the Grammys. Pre-Super Bowl activities are pretty strict with practice and media. But it'd be cool if he did go with Taylor.

FrostWolf

Who are you even talking about? Seems suspicious that you made this long post explaining things, but won't name the person who is supposedly doing this

Mary Fuller

That's...not where The Stallion comes from, that's so wrong where tf did you get that 😭

Mary Fuller

The Meg/Nicki beef is definitely not manufactured, Nicki has been taking shots at Meg for years, the girl got fed up and thew her one line then Nicki went insane and Meg hasn't responded once.

MeYouIt

Didn't hear about how people reacted to your video about the deepfakes. People can seriously be horrible, how can you see someone who is hurt, expressing their hurt, and not feel for them? Fucking misogynists

Njoy

Anyone got rathole lore

BisonHero

If you're going to write a post this long, I think you could do us the decency of explaining what you're talking about instead of referring to unnamed "convicted rapist" and unnamed "SA victim silencers." I guarantee no stans or lawyers are going to come after you based on a random Patreon comment. You can simply talk like an adult and say the names. Nobody has the time to both read your long comment and then still have to do a bunch of Googling.

Cynthia Soly

damn ive followed that egyptologist woman for a whiiile lmao randomly cus im a egypt history nerd

Lezzleee

Regarding Taylor's SA incident, people forget that it's not just "Fight or Flight." It's Fight, Flight, Freeze, and Fawn. A lot of emergency response and military training is literally reprogramming your instinctual response into fight. Most people will do anything but fight. And people have extremely wrong assumptions about what they will do in a situation. Unless you have gone through training like self defense, desensitization, etc. you are very likely to freeze.
