Greetings,

I'm still at work on the release. I don't have an ETA, I can only tell you that I'm getting a lot done on it and that it will be finished very soon.

I do want to announce, though, that if the full release isn't out by the last day of this month, everyone who was a $5+ patron this month will still get it.

When the release *is* done, I'll be sending a message out to everyone who was a $5+ patron this month containing the download links. It'll come through Patreon's messaging system, so keep an eye out for it. If that does happen, and you're one of those people, please let me know if you didn't get it. The same goes for the picture pack if you were a $10+ patron.

I realize some folks probably signed up expecting it to be out this month - and there's a good chance it will - but I don't want anyone to feel I was trying to be dishonest. I was certainly mistaken about the release date, but it didn't come from an intent to deceive.

You probably won't hear from me (here or in Discord) until the release is out. I apologize for the delay, I just want to make sure the release is something I'm happy with. Thank you for your support.

To be clear, what I'm saying is that you'll still get the release if you pledged this month, regardless of whether or not you continue to do so next month.

Can't wait to see that 'Nope' guys rage aneurysm hahaha, in all seriousness I got faith that the delay is worth it and the update will be top notch

It is worth a wait. Making a game is freaking hard. So no probs man.

This kind of communication is all I want. There's a reason my Discord Avatar is of Alex. Thanks!

If you keep saying "Its going to be out REALLY soon." After expecting it to be out half a month ago, and give no ETA, then anyone anticipating this release has every reason to expect it be out any particular day. As based on what information we have been given, it should have been out ages ago. This means checking Patreon daily, and being disappointed every single time. This only stops being the case if you give a due date, which then becomes the only time people check. This is the first reason you should always have one. The second reason, as you said yourself, is that its always better for you to work with a deadline to keep you on task. Which begs the question of why whatever is going on is so different? What went wrong, and how is it somehow impossible to predict in terms of duration? Some things actually are; maybe its writers block, maybe its a new mechanic you're not quite comfortable working with, maybe there is an absolutely game-breaking bug that can't possibly be released in a test build, maybe you added some images and they need tweaking and more render time. But none of that matters if you don't actually say it, and I can't give you the benefit of the doubt when you predicted the release to be so much earlier, so many consecutive times, all while giving us no information at all. What happened to the nice clean percentage meters? What aspect of the game are you even working on? What's wrong with it? Why would you post an update at all and not give us that type of information? Dear sweet god, please just say either, "It definitely won't be out by X, but will for certain be out by Y." Or at least, "I can't predict the exact release date because its a problem of nature A, which I have trouble gauging because of B" The worst possible thing you could say is, "IT'S JUST A HAIR'S BREADTH AWAY. YOU'D BE A FOOL NOT TO BELIEVE ME THIS TIME." PS: I hope you enjoy it John

Listen, you are here as a Patreon to support the developer as he/she makes his content, you did this out of choice because you saw this project fit enough for you to support it. There is no part of this whole wonderful website where the developer is contracted to release there content in a certain time frame. The whole purpose is to support the creator, not Demand Content or get annoyed if the update is delayed. Yes it can be a little frustrating if a update doesn't come out when expected but just because you offer charity to the creator does NOT give you the right to demand things when they get a little behind schedule. You would not donate your money to a Cancer Research Charity and then constantly pester them as to why there isn't a cure yet, you'd do it to support the organisation and there work. If you don't want to take 10 seconds to check Patreon to see if there's an update yet because that must be hard to do because you don't want to be disappointing as the Creator isn't putting up pretty progress bars for you because they are putting there time/effort into making sure the release is up to the standard they want and most of there Patreons want, then don't... give it a while or just check your emails. Either way no one know's what goes on IRL for the Creator, so if they say sorry the project is delayed then its delayed, so either choose to wait or in the nicest possible way bugger off!

😂 all good. I was going to state, that I still and will continue support your work. It is a great game! Although “nope” went on a bit of a tangent, I think the point was to question what the delay is. Personally I feel you may have resigned yourself to not getting the release out before the end of the month (which is fine); but being able to have an open dialogue with you is what is really appreciated about this site. Yes, you shouldn’t feel persecuted; but in some cases a little clarification about the delay would be appreciated. I’ll leave it at that, because I am looking forward to seeing this game develop.

Take your time. Make the game the way YOU want it. We’re here to support you.

If you get writers block for the next game world I have a great idea to incorporate those two into one that I was thinking of as a merger from the image you showed earlier
