Hi Cinders!

This design has been asked for for awhile! Bringing you all a WINGED and WINGLESS version of the AXOLOTL DRAGON!

The wings are a rotating ball socket design and extend to hold in place!

Thank you to one of our Testers, "Toad", for the MMU versions for multi-color! The pictures above are only single color, please see out Discord Chat (link below) for pictures of multi-color from our test team!

Print-in-place and tested between 100% & 60% for strength and articulation!

All my designs are print-in-place and require no supports. All you need is a clean bed and you're off!

Print Settings:  .2 Layer height, 15% infill, gyroid infill, no brim, and no supports. (If there are smaller parts of your print that have a hard time staying stuck to the plate, please try a brim around those parts)

This is super cute, and we couldn't resist making it in eSUN Matte Rainbow PLA filament, since axolotl are commonly leucistic (white).

Most slicers have the ability to split to objects! You can do that to print only the wings if needed

Would it be possible to have the bodies positioned in a way that will allow 2 to fit on a Bambu X1 plate? Maybe more L shaped or even more space between the head and tail so they could go together barrel-of-monkeys style?

they arent missing, they are like that on purpose so they dont create a sharp edge

My daughter is currently obssessing of axolotls and one of her friend had a dragon and so then she wanted a dragon too and this just combines the two?! I love it shes gonna be going crazy when I print this for her birthday on the 17th💙

Make sure you are using the import as geometry option! to not open as a 3mf

Hi. I’ve now printed 4 of these at 60% and I keep having an issue with the 6th to the 7th spines from the tail end . They seem to be much closer than the others and get attached to each other.

this is the only dragon i cant get to print it keeps busting loose on the build plate in that section of tail . failed twice over halfway through both prints on full size .

I'd recommend a brim, clean plate, and slowing down a bit!

I have had no issues make sure to turn the aux fan off parts fan at 50 and chamber fan at 50 if you are using a bambu p1s/x1c

I got this to print but I don’t like how it just looks like the print stops. It made me feel like it just failed on the body where the scales just leveled outside.

i just threw this up on my plate and sliced it (with some tiny extras) and it takes only about 8 hours for a 1 color 100%! It would be nice to have them posed in a position to do 2 per plate. like a u shape or something. printing now, i'll tell you how she works out <3

Jazzy, to Drea's point, was the dragon supposed to look like the top of all it's spines were cut off? It does look incomplete.

Happens on the 100% model too, but easy to break free. I've printed 2 at 100% both same situation. For the wingless model.

Yes the spines are not meant to be pointy, but flat, like an axolotl tail

Since it's an axolotl dragon it's emulating the paddle tail of a axolotl which tend to be a tall fin thing, and that's what this is trying to match! Axolotls are weird haha

I opened it again and I see it now. Strange, I feel like that’s happened before. I just bought the Gemstone Dragon and see the same issue. Are the eyes colored on the Gemstone Dragon for you?

I bought this beautiful file, I was ready to print it but says that is not compatible with my Bambú labs P1S why?

Not sure why it would say that! It most certainly works on Bambu printers!

Got something similar - 3mf is generated by old bambu studio, when it loads it loses all the colors. Going to check discord to see if anyone else has seen this.

Load as project worked, even though I got the same message, it kept the colors when it loaded.

It's an adult dragon, axolotls are fat lil guys and the model reflects this
