Each month's past models are archived on MyMiniFactory (MMF) for Patreon and MMF Tribes. (For a simpler experience please join Thangs where models are archived automatically into your Thangs library.)

General question for everyone. On all these models, where are you putting your Z seam? I accidentally left my settings on random and ruined a 24 hour print. I don't remember where I had it previously.

I wasn't sure where to post this, but for anyone who is running a budget printer like me, (creality ender) there is new slicing software out, Creality Print. I have dropped Cura and the original creality slicer, and my prints are running faster with better quality.

My husband got me one for mothers day and it's awesome! The AMS holds 4 spools and you can print spool holders for other brand PLA spools. Bambu PLA is roughly same cost as other brands, but it automatically detects color spools vs manually entering color. I hope that makes sense!

We purchased the Bambu P1P and an AMS to set on top of it (with printed holder). We love it!

They are fantastic we have X-1 x 1 and P1P x 2 game changer just need a larger bed model

The X1 is better and faster than the P1P. They decrease the speed on the P1P because of the lack of cooling the P1P has compared to the X1. The X1 also is better if you live in humid areas as it is contained with a door on the front and the AMS (if you add that) is also sealed. Also, the X1 has a touch screen display and the P1P has the old style navigational display. Big difference in price, but I would get the X1 if you can afford it. P1P is obviously better than getting a Ender 3 or 5, etc and you can improve that which I said was governed down by Bambu by purchasing the chamber fan setup and making the configuration changes in the slicer.

The P1P is really the way to go if you just plan on printing models like this, you would still be saving money over the x1 combo. but the x1 sure does look cleaner. i dont really see any huge improvements in speed or quality of my prints comparing the two printers

The X1 is only slightly better, and its not because of speed. you can add the axillary cooling fan to the P1P but even without it the X1 doesn't print significantly faster. id gladly trade my X1 for 2 P1Ps. the extra production would outweigh any feature on the X1

Well, we ended up buying the Bambu X1 Carbon combo and are blown away! No regrets here. Well, we do need to transfer much filament from cardboard spools. 😁😆🤣

Hi I am Giamarie, I'm new here and to the entire 3D world. I'm normally a polymer clay artist focusing on earrings. I also do crochet, macrame, resin art, metal stamping, tumblers, pens, keychains etc and now I am extremely excited to add 3D printing to my repertoire! Lol. My business is called the Crafty Cafe for a reason- it's like a menu of things that I offer. 😆 Anyways, since I am new to the game, although I have been printing tons of studded tumbler keychains since I received my ender pro 3, 2 weeks ago, I really don't know where to start especially here on Cinderwings patreon. I don't know if anyone here lives near me in Dayton Nevada but, I sure could use some help with adjustments to my printer! 😉 Like I said, This is all new to me and I'm a little overwhelmed by this new machine and all the terminology but Omgosh do I LOVE this. I am very happy to be here and part of the tribe. I cannot wait to do my 1st print but I need to get it adjusted perfectly first... Thank you for all you do and having such beautiful work that you share with us!

For starting out with an Ender, look up CHEP/Filament Fridays on youtube. Chuck Hellebuyck has a particular focus on the Ender series printers. Lots of set up and tuning tips.

Have a question with people using Prusa slicer. I am having to repair every file I download. This only happens with Cinderwing files, is this something with Prusa slicer and is anyone else having issues. I can download and print other files all day long but Cinderwing files all have to be repaired.

Hi there, where can I find the Lunar dragon egg? I feel like I've looked all over and can't find it. MMF says there's 4 files in the egg section for Cinderwing, but only two pop up when you click on it.

There is not a Lunar Dragon Egg, you may be referring to the Infinity Egg which was part of the FronTiers campaign and is not available. The other eggs are the Crystal Egg (subscriber exclusive), the Dragon Scale )free if you were subbed that month, otherwise public sale), and the Advent Calender Eggs (same as dragon scale). Including the Infinity, thats the four.

I totally get where you are coming from but unlike the Cinderwing team, you do not have a way to actually confirm they have that file. Or vice versa. That's why you can't simply share them

I know that the winter and autumn dragons exist, but what would be considered the spring dragon and summer dragon? I though i saw a post a while back on this but i've spent 3 hours looking and haven't found it again I remember that yall used what i believed was OVV3D's seasonal gradients to print the set in that post.

By the looks of it, Dino and Dog have done it - From just assuming how it works, which is you put all the month's files into a folder and share that with the current email addresses that are linked to the last month, I assume it'd be the same principle? Such as putting all of the welcome pack into a folder and then sharing it with everyone that has subscribed. Again that's just an assumption of how it works. I'd imagine there's a tad more too it than that though.

Looks like you didnt get a reply here but you might have somewhere else but just in case. Yes, being a subscriber gives you the commercial license for all the files provided, even if you werent subscribed when you bought the file

Once you fill out the form it will be on the Response Confirmation page, its a link! If you missed it the first time, you should have been sent a confirmation email, you can use that email to get back into the form and get the badge.

each piece of the MMU file is individually separated, It seems to be crashing my BAMBU studio when attempting to slice.. (single colour works fine)

Yep! I specifically left it to pieces cause this one has SO many nooks and crannies and I wanted to give people the option in case they wanted to customize the paint job. There also seem to be some memory leak issues with Bambu Studio(as of version 1.8.4) so please bear this in mind as well

The drops usually come towards the middle of the month, IMO kinda stinks. The majority of people here sell their prints at shows all month long, not just the 2nd half of the month. But, she has great models!

Hi Everyone! :) Thank you for all the well wishes! I have been hard at work on new designs and to stay 100% focused I don't check messages or comments, as some are mean and very derailing. As Admin Jazzy said above, you will ALWAYS get your models, but I don't always have a schedule for release as some things take extra long in testing. I do understand now that most of you just want updates even if it's not a release post, and I will work on doing those more! :) Thank you!

Ok thank you. I found those, but not the tiny crystal dragon (like the tadling, which are small but with 4 legs). She thinks the 2 legged tadlings are "creepy" lol. The baby dragons are a bit too large for party favors - I didn't see any notes about down scaling those. She showed me a bunch of ads on youtube that are selling the tiny four-legged wingless , but I couldn't find the files to make them myself. Am I misunderstanding what the ones she showed me are?

Hello, I went to the redeem email for this past month's (August) releases and the baby dune striker and the spider pack seem to be missing. I thought it was because they were supporter exclusives, as the five others (crab, crystal crab, bat, infested dragon, and hollow turtle) are there, until I saw that last month's exclusives were included on MMF. I get the baby crystal dragon to scale down well below the 60% tested amount and they work well as earrings too. I suggest going with baby crystal dragon scaled down, run test prints to see how low you can go ;)

Just wanted to drop in and say that I absolutely LOVE your collection! I recently (last year) got into the hobby due to it being part of our new curriculum (engineering teacher for middle school) and every month we add a new dragon to our growing menagerie. The kids absolutely love them. We have a whole flock at this point, and (from what I hear), there is much drama between the dragons ever since the Bat Dragon joined us for Halloween. I hadn't printed a stand for it, so it had to "Share", and according to my 6th graders, "Crystal" was extremely upset by it! I especially love the minis you provide as well as they are nice to give out as prizes for our in-class competitions.

I printed a dragon at 125% and an egg at almost 175% to fit it... kinda tight, but it fit.... was a prize at show held by my club!

I can't for the life of me get the link on plate 2 of the 200% crystal dragon to print, both Bambu Studio and Orca tell me there are non manifold edges and whether I print it without repairing or I repair it it never comes out properly, I have tried lots of different settings and I am still unable to get it to print without being a mess, it is sticking to the build plate it just won't print properly. Is anyone else having this issue? Does anyone know how to fix it?

I'd recommend going into the Discord. (discord.gg/cinderwing3d) theres been tons of these printed with little issue. The non-manifolds wouldnt effect the end slice

Having trouble logging into discord, not sure it will help anyway. I believe you that lots have been successfully printed and I could probably print the whole plate again and it might work but I can not print that single link from plate 2 by itself, I just tried it again and I have even done it at 100 percent infill with supports it still won't print properly. I think there is something wrong with this individual part of the model, I have tried over a dozen times now using two different slicers and four different printers. I even downloaded the file again in case my first download was corrupted somehow, it still will not print properly. I have been 3D printing for over a decade now, I know what I am doing but I can not get this single part to print. By the way the rest of the dragon printed perfectly for me, it is just this one single part.

I have discovered that this is a result of splitting the models into separate objects, it happens to every individual piece regardless of which slicer I do it in. Also happens with the standard size dragon. There is simply no way to print this single part by itself which means I need to print a whole plate again to get a single link.

In theory the law is enforceable, in reality the Chinese companies selling your designs will close down when sued and open in other names. They will switch to shell companies preventing a lawsuit. If they adhere and pay for rights to distribute i fear this will hurt those of us competing with inferior printed products that are complete paper thin crap once they can be legal. It seems like it has potential for even more Chinese printed products.

If I am not going to receive a full year I would like a refund for the remainder of the time I paid for. I can send a copy of the email for payment of $102.00.

Hey there, this is actually an issue with Patreon :) If you buy a yearly membership, but turn off auto renew, it forces you on to the "free" tier. If you remove yourself from the "free" tier it will give you your access back. This is something Patreon does that I have no say or control over. Hope this helps!

Do all of the models that we have access to get archived at the end of the month to MMF for download? 2. Including ones that are marked "Subscriber Exclusive"? I feel like I'm missing models by just downloading what is in my library on MMF. 3. Do I need to download some through email links, or Patreon posts? I'd like to go back and fill in any missing models. 4. Also the first post Welcome Pack, is that constantly updated such that we'd need to keep checking for new models there also? My son would like the 6 foot 7 inch dragon, but I have the Flashforge AD5X. I am unable to print three of the plates for the 300%. Is there anyway you can make a file for the 300% for the Flashforge AD5X plate size? Or is there a way I can print it without the three plates and print extras of another?

Hey there, no sorry! You may need to further cut the dragon to make it all fit! This is why I didn't cut more dragons because I cannot account for all the bed sizings out there!

Any chance we can get some more turtle designs? People love the cinnamon bun turtle and Apple Pie Turtle! I was thinking maybe a summer themed turtle and definitely a pumpkin pie turtle. Have a question. i sent a message back in September asking what size magnet to use with the rose turtle magnet print. I didnt hear back. Went looking to see if i could find what size it took and finally found 6 x 2 neodymium magnets. Ordered them on amazon, and when i went to glue them in today, they are to big for the hole on the bottom, Is 6x2 the correct size? i did not change the print size in cura when i loaded the file to print. Are you able to suggest any pointers to help? thank you in advance,

They do fit 6x2 magnets. The holes are slightly larger and we have been able to press them in, shouldn't be too hard to push is but also don't need glue at that point :) - Also magnet hole is one of the open modifications that any Cinders can make on these designs. Feel free to expand/cut them to any size you need!

The email from MMF is sent out at the end of every month with a link for access to that last month. For example, if you joined in December, you will recieve an email at the END of December for access to December's models (in case you might have missed any) :) Hope this helps!
