Hi Everyone! 

So excited to release to you all the Winter Dragon!

This model has a TON of design options and I really tried to give you all a bunch of choices to print! Below are the files included in the Zip:

Separate Snap-in Wings

The Snap-in Wings are a new wing system that I am going to be implementing with older AND future models! This greatly helps with 2 of the biggest printing issues my designs have: 

With the tall winged models the wings sometimes break loose during the print resulting in failed wings. This modification will allow you to reprint just the wing tips and snap them in, still giving you the same movement and locking in place as the original wings! In addition, these wings remove the wing "bar" resulting in less wing hinge breakage! (I actually had a failed wing print for the pictures in this post and reprinted JUST the wing tips and it saved the model!)

P.S. The Baby version will be released next month for December!

Resin: Make sure you use the snap in wing option and cure before snapping them in.

PLA: For the above pictures we hot swapped silk white filament with Proto Pasta Sparkly Blue!

I know the baby version is coming in December. I was hoping to print some a bit smaller before then, did you do any testing on printing in smaller sizes? thought it wouldn't hurt to check and I LOVE it

I LOVE, the snap-in wings! I've thrown away DOZENS of Crystal Wing Dragons due to failed wing tip prints. I very MUCH look forward to getting the original Crystal Wing Dragon with snap-in wings. Plus it opens up color combinations and add-on sales possibilities! Not to mention being able to print them on separate printers to get the job done quicker.

If you were subscribed in November you should have gotten an email to add it to your MMF account. Otherwise I think they release it eventually on MMF for sale, might take a week or so though.

I just joined in December, so not sure if I get an email with the Winter Dragon? Also, are there instructions or best print options? I can't seem to make the Dragon stick to my plate, so should I use a brim or raft?

Winter dragon was for November, so it won’t be included with this months. You should be able to purchase it soon on mmf though. I print with brims if mine lift, and it works great

The last tail link witht the snowflake would make great earrings or a necklace or keychain if it can be seperate. Maybe a good bonus?

Ive had that issue at times, make sure to clean the print surface good, a bit of hair spray has worked for extra grip but Ive heard some use a glue stick and I use a brim with the print to help ensure the print works because sometimes I would have a couple links detach and wobble so the top didnt come out right but in using the brim it helped link it all together until it was done
