UPDATE: For anyone having issues with the Rosewing and Rose head sitting flat - it's fixed and this post has been uploaded with the new zip file! :)

UPDATE 2: Cinderwing3D_Rosewing_2-21.zip is the new zip included versions of fixed wings for more clearances and rectangle layout!

Hi Cinders!!

Whoooo! This was a big project! Thank you all for being so patient as we went through several rounds of test printing! HUGE Thank you to my test team! Not only do they work so hard to give valuable feedback, but they also help me out with release photos when the weather isn't the best! Behind the scenes photo included LOL!

Thank you all for hanging in there and giving me some extra time this month! I appreciate you all and thank you for your support!!

For this release I have some really exciting things for you:

I have had a TON of requests for a Rosewing (winged version of one of my most popular models), and here it finally is! I have also remade the Original Rose Dragon with the newer links and slight mods - which actually made for a LONGER new model!

AND... I also wanted to include some special files for you all as a BONUS! .3mf files!!

These are pre-split progress files made for multicolored printers! These are not perfect and might need a couple touch-ups but will save you HOURS of digital painting!

Please let us know by Discord if you have any issues! And use the links below for help. For those of you using the 3MF file, please keep in mind this is NOT a pre-painted file but one split into objects. this one doesn't, we can up with a new prototype and are working on it, but i did try to make the bed adhesion for these wings bigger so it should help with printing them! :)

holy cow 380 grams of filament and after simplified it's still 300 grams.

the one in the pic is 80% (227 g) :) and it feels pretty big

Have these been tested down to the usual sizes? Cura does NOT want to print the winged version at 80% for me for some reason. Keeps failing with an unexpected error but i dont have an issue at 90 or 100

For me it looks like the Rose Dragon's Head isn't completely touching the build plate. Need to drop it by .2mm

Ahhh this is just beautiful. I was secretly hoping the next dragon would be the orchid baby. They just seem to print better for me I alway get some delams with the biggers scaled down!

Thank you! It was a bit odd. It liked below 78% and anything above 80% but 79 and 80% just wont slice. since its only a 1 or 2% difference its negligible so im not gonna sweat it

no resin version but this should print in resin just fine! it's pretty big but will be making a Baby Rosewing which should be easier to resin print. @Jazzy on the discord chat can give you a better idea on resin prints :)

mine cura doesn't want it too at 80%. 100% with no problem but wanted to see how long will take smaller one.

Yeah they found an error with the head so that's probably causing it somehow. Try either 81% or 78, size wise it'll be practically the same

i wasnt having issues with the winged version it was the 2023 rosedragon i was having issues with the head not sitting flat on the bed

Redownloaded the files and they seem to be the same as the old ones with the head floating - has the post been updated with the new files?

Thank you, I did my first Rose Dragon 2 days ago. I bought the file from Cults. I used a Rainbow PLA Filament. It took me 16 hours to print, but it was well worth it.

I like the winged rose dragon! Well done. The only update I would like to see is an edit on the wings. When I open them they rub and scratch the taller part. I hope there will be a baby one soon too, thanks :)

Is anyone else having problems with this loading flat in Cura? I bring the model in and the bottom is red saying it's off the bed but it's showing its sitting at zero. My first print the legs and tail just fell off. Can anyone give me some advise? I've only been printing for 4 months.

Roses didn't print on towards the end of the tail, or on the dragons nose. Entire print was fused and not flexible.. help.

Hi cinderwing, when I download the 3mf file of the winged dragon into Bambu studio i only get the p1p profile and not the x1c profile😅

Just swap it to what you need! You should be using your own settings anyways.

has anybody tried printing the extra long tail one lately? i can not get it to load on any of the 8 printers we have and i have tried both the laptop and desk top pc to load it.

All the .3mf files I open are only one color. Is there a colored version available?

They are paint by object, a one off experiment. You can use the Objects tab to color them :)
