(FOR LOCH) This was a special Bonus release for June from Gladiator Designs. It has been removed for July and is now available through Gladiator Designs.

------------------------------------------------------

Hi Cinders!!

----- (Please Read ALL Below, Important Information Included!) :) -----

We have a very exciting special release for you all!! - Our first Collaboration Design with Gladiator Designs! I have created "Key" the Loch Ness Monster and Gladiator Designs created it's Loch!

Both the Loch Ness Monster AND it's Loch have been test printed down to 30% and are extremely adorable! This pictures of both above are at 50% and 30% scale and are fully functional!

LOCH NESS MONSTER:

"Key" prints with it's neck on the print bed and comes PRESUPPORTED right underneath it. When does printing its an easy snap to break it off! The neck then "CLICKS" in place in the upright position and holds that position! :) The original size is pretty big and I would personally say the sweet spot size is 60% or 50%. For smaller prints (60% and below) it's recommended to use a brim.

LOCH NESS HOME:

This part of the collab was created by the talented Gladiator Designs! This model features a bottom, and a top water feature! They can be printed separately so you can have whatever color water you like. (Pictures about were printed with clear for the top water and blue for the bottom, then painted for rocks and flowers).

We wanted to print something special to this brand new design so we opt'd for this fun collab to make Key a lovely home!

Gladiator Designs has very kindly shared the LOCH with our Cinderwing3D JUNE Subscribers for Personal Use Only.  If you would like a commercial license for Key's Loch you will need to grab one from Gladiator, who has a Vendor Special commercial license that you can use to sell the Loch!

Awesome sauce. Definitely on my list to print

Jason

Not so sure about the presupported neck. Lots of printers will struggle getting a clean outcome. No way to do the head separate with a ball joint and have the neck already upright?

Jazzy_Plz

Give it a shot before you judge it. We tested this model for nearly 3 months. Trust in Tracy! I know it looks crazy but, it works! we tested this little cutie on everything from mostly stock Enders, Sovols, Anycubics, and Bambus!

Jason

I can see the issues in the example prints. I was genuinely excited about this release. I finally see the examples and I could hear “wah wah waaaaaahhhh” playing in my head.

Jazzy_Plz

All I can say is I really suggest you try it first before passing judgement. There are always things to be improved on! Making new types of bodies and such isn't easy! So feedback is always appreciated, but do give it a shot first! Or not! It's whatever you decide.

Andrea DeJong

I just made one on a toybox which is like a kids printer at 35% . It turned out perfect!!

Andrea DeJong

I am trying to print the water but it's showing a huge shadow at 60%. It won't go into the plate.

Andrew Henderson

i agree with you jason. you can clearly see in the pictures that were presented the neck layers are separated and any machine with insufficient cooling will pose an issue. its a cute design and ill print one but im extremely apprehensive about it and quite possibly another model i leave out of my shows. not to mention having to purchase a whole different license if you want the lake with it to fully display what it is. really feeling deflated around here lately

Jazzy_Plz

You'll need to provide more info! What slicer is this? A lot of slicers have a button to automatically lay things flat to the plate, you can try that!

Jazzy_Plz

We are certainly sorry you feel that way but doing collabs and working with other artists is incredible important to our vision to uplift folks in the community. As for the model... If y'all wish to pass judgement without at least printing it first, that your prerogative. I will continue to say at least try it. Seeing how small this model can be printed, it wouldn't even be much waste if it didn't work out for you. Either way we appreciate the feedback and support and this will be noted. Thank you.

Jason

I have to agree there. It feels as though some of the spirit and enthusiasm for great models has been lost. We hear more from Jazzy than we do Tracy anymore. I am not trying to be negative, however, I don't like when the person we pay for their art and their craft takes suggestions and criticism poorly. It would be cool if we, as the customer, were asked what we would like to see released in the future through a poll or a list of what is in the works. This has been one patreon subscription that I have kept, without fail, due to my love for the models and ability to sell the amazing prints. I hope to continue contributing but I also hope to return to a time of being impressed by the models.

Jazzy_Plz

We do have a big pool of suggestions in the Discord that Tracy pulls from, Key actually being one of them, for what that's worth! And that is part of why I'm here, to help with all the comments, requests, suggestions, and everything, from everyone, so it can be made easily organized and usable! That way Tracy can really focus on bringing you new things. But growth won't come without change. Things like the frogs, Key's fancy neck tech, and other new things are all steps to making new things for everyone, they won't all be winners but its a step to bring new things, and to grow as a Patreon and for Tracy, as a a modeller and artist. This feedback isn't going unheard by her, 100%.

Stargazr69

OMG 20% is soooo cute and tiny! Impressive model for sure, Thanks for all your hard work

Andrea DeJong

I also printed one on a Dremel at 60% and it's perfect as well!

Jayde Hilliard Illustration

This one is super cute! And I think the new design with the neck is cool and will offer more in potential for future designs. Can't wait to try out the print! I also think the collaboration is really great, Gladiator has some really cool designs I had not seen before.

Kari

So cute! Printed this at 60% and it's super cute. I have a Flashforge :)

Jazzy_Plz

Oh dang, I'm not familiar with that slicer but from what I can gather, it's based on Cura. What I could find however is, Dremel chose NOT to include the Lay Flat feature that Cura has.

Kate Ettensohn

printing a few of these cuties at 60% right now. I can't wait to see how they look

Andrea DeJong

I made one last night! It's the absolute cutest!!

Andrea DeJong

Is there a way to make it into an STL instead of 3MF?

Jazzy_Plz

Usually I just use 3D builder on my windows PC or export it from the slicer as an STL. A 3mf is just an STL with extra steps tho, that normally wouldnt effect anything... hmm

Gary

I think model is super cute and love the design but have run into issues with presupported neck. tried running it up at several different sizes on my prusa's but keep getting failures where the supports almost meet the neck. Is there a way we can get an unsupported model to use our own supports?

Katsu's Dojo 3D

I haven't had a successful print of this yet either... ;(

Ginney Davison

I printed Key and the loch at 60% and it came out beautifully, thank you for all your hard work!

Andrew Wells

yes ive had this same issue. 3/4 of the necks failed on my X1C

Charles Prints

I made some purple one ons on x1c at 60% they are beautiful!

Charles Prints

Not sure if its been stated yet but what colors were used for the lake ness?

debra leeson
