I hope that later on Maya, while close to the family isn’t a member of it. It would ruin the magic that she displayed in this chapter.

When and why did the godsister thing start? Is it something being used to try and disguise the blood relationship? I just started reading the story this weekend, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't presented that way to begin with.
