I wanted to make something gnarly after all the holiday festivities. The sound of Christmas music all week was making me gag. In this stream, I show you how you can route your audio back into your sampler (Digitakt II in this case) after being stretched, filtered, and crunched by the Octatrack. I think it sounds awesome, and it's incredibly easy, since most the work is done for you. Check out this video and see for yourself!
INSTRUCTIONS: You will need to plug the cue out into whatever sampler you are using. Hold CUE and select tracks 6/7/8.On those same tracks bring the CUE level up to 127 by selecting the track than holding CUE and using the LEVEL encoder. Use the time stretch effects 5-12 and recording them into your device that the CUE outs are plugged into. If it is the DIgitakt or your sampler is the source of the original audio, be sure you are not monitoring via that device what is being returned to your sampler from the CUE bus. Only monitor the live audio leaving your OCtatrack from the mains.
Best,
Matt
