UK Garage/Future Garage/2-Step Compilation (Patreon)

It's time for another compilation, this time we are doing UK Garage. UK Garage is a British electronic dance music genre, emerged in the late 1990s, blending elements of R&B, house, jungle, and dancehall, featuring syncopated rhythms, "2-step" and 4/4 rhythms, and chopped vocal samples, typically at a tempo around 130 BPM.

Requirements for the compilation:

Soundcloud account.

Email address.

You must sign up before April 15th 2025

Tracks are to be finished by May 31st 2025.

You must use at least one (1) piece of music instrument hardware in your submitted track.

In the past, we hired a mastering engineer, made physical releases, and uploaded everyone's tracks with splits to DistroKid. This was a lot of work, and while it was effective, it became too much for me and the other moderators to manage on a regular basis. So, I've decided to take a more casual approach moving forward.

You will be responsible for hosting and mastering your tracks. However, we as a community will be here to support you, empowering you to handle this process on your own. Tracks will be uploaded to your personal SoundCloud account (which offers an easy AI mastering service, which is good enough at being a limiter for loudness). Once your track is completed and uploaded, you’ll share the link with me via a form (which will be provided later).

The tracks will then be hosted on Modbang.com through an embedded player. I’ll share the webpage through a monthly email blast, as well as with my YouTube channel audience.

The goal here is to set a deadline for completing your music and finishing your work. I hope this helps streamline the process while creating a fun and creative environment for all of us along the way. Let's make some tunes!
