I designed this to help inspire new patch ideas and quickly come up raw ideas, especially useful for techno production. How to: Connect your Digitone II to your computer over USB. Choose a machine type on your Digitone II. Select that machines channel (track) via the drop down on the Preset Generator. Choose an Archetype to get a deliberate sound, or choose none and go wild. Pluck’s are shorter sounds. Pad’s are longer sounds.Features I plan to implement with no timeline in mind:

Syntakt support

Patch history to recall favorites from the generator

Leaderboard for most favorited patches

More archetypes

Patch preview with chords

If you have any ideas, or run into any bugs, this is a great place to let me know.

Hey Matt, this is super cool. How did you code this? I am asking because I would like to do something like this for the Monomachine. I would imagine the framework could be similar since it also works with Machines and similar page structure. Thank you!

ezbot

I used Gemini 2.5 Pro for most of it, some I did myself, but very little. I don't know much about coding, but I follow AI very closely.

Great, thank you vey much, just yesterday was thinking about how to get lots of random presets on Digitone and why they not implemented that in some way... ezbot jumps right in! Why not put it up on github so you can track issues / features and build a community around it with an appropriate tool?

Hanjo Synth

That is awesome, thanks for sharing. I have not delved into AI very deeply but I will look into Gemini 2.5 definitely! Cheers!

ezbot

I don’t think that’s a bad idea!

You are the man! I managed to get a working MNM patch randomizer on Norns!

CJ

Man, it would be fun to get this (or a port) running on a raspberry pi with a small enclosure and some dedicated knobs & buttons.
