One of the things I continue to love about the M8 Tracker is just how complete its toolset is. It’s not a device that pushes you into a single workflow or genre, it gives you a collection of powerful, flexible tools and lets you decide how far to take them. That’s really where the M8 shines for me.
In today’s session, I want to share some of my personal perspective on the M8 and walk through a few techniques I use regularly that highlight just how adaptable this little box can be. We’ll dig into dub-style delays, explore creative table ideas, and build out some laid-back, chill tunes along the way. Nothing overly rigid or academic here.. this is about vibe, flow, and letting the machine respond to your intentions.
I’ll also talk a bit about mindset with the M8: how approaching it less like a “tracker” and more like a modular composition environment can completely change the results you get. Whether you’re sketching ideas, finishing tracks, or just getting lost in sound design, the M8 can easily shift roles depending on what you ask of it.
As always, this is very much a hands-on, exploratory session. The goal isn’t perfection, it’s about discovering techniques you can immediately fold into your own workflow and hopefully inspiring you to push the M8 in new directions. If you’ve been wondering how far this thing can really go, this one should give you some solid ideas to run with.
Best,
Matt
