Yes the Erica Synths DB-01 is really that great. Yes, it is my Octatrack and Digitakt's new best friend. Can't say enough good things about this setup. Forces you to simplify your workflow and know your machines very well.

In this video I debut my first track with the Erica Synths DB-01. I am in love with this bass synth, it does exactly what I wanted from a Bass synth, for example: it's very small. I do a few tricks to get the most out of 1 pattern including a sidechain pumping effect using copious amounts of reverb and one shot trigs on the Octatrack. 2026-09-19 02:00 Most of the track is me showing off the sidechain fx i developed using the filter on the Octatrack. The piano sounding sample is the JU-06A arp slowed down and the vocal sample is me - sped up. I am running the Erica into the tc hall of fame and than into inputs C/D on the OT. the DT -> inputs A/B. I have seperate FX for them both on scenes in the OT. I use a lot of looping to make dynamic and seamless transitions. Funny thing is it's all one pattern!
