I really thought it was episode 45 when I streamed this. In this episode of Elektron Talk, we use the Analog Rytm with the Fader Fox EC-4 to control the Rytm's performance macros. The buttons on the Rytm are stiff and notoriously difficult to be precise with; using an encoder is very helpful. It's a lot of fun and very easy to set up. Any MIDI controller with faders or knobs will work just fine.

Instructions for MK1 users:

Set MIDI channel on your MIDI controller to output on ch.15 (this is the default FX channel on the Rytm, at least it was on my MK1)

Set knobs up with these CC messages to match the pads.

Row 3: 44, 45, 46, 47

Row 2: 40, 41, 42, 43

Row 1: 35, 36, 37, 39,
