It had been a while since I used the Metron and Voltera, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much fun it was to return to my trusty red-button super sequencer. This video covers some of my favorite features all around, some of them happened to be in the update. The new firmware is quite useful—not a game-changer by any means but it's nice to know that this sequencer will continue to get updates. I paired it with the Rossum Assimilator, which is just the perfect companion for the Metron. With lots of gate inputs, it's great for drums and serves as an overall powerhouse sampler. You may notice the bass synthesizer; that's the ADDAC Acid Source. It's a wild and weird module, but I've grown to really appreciate it. Initially designed to be a drum module, ADDAC pivoted it into an acid synth. I'm not sure what happened there, but it worked out. I dig it; it does both drums and acid.

The Incredible WMD Metron and Voltera Combo // Favorite Features

In today's stream Matthew from Patchwerks (aka EZBOT) talks about some of their favorite features from the WMD Metron and Voltera. Metron is a 16 channel trigger and gate sequencer for your Eurorack modular system with loads of intuitive functionality, expansion capabilities, and the tools you need to create longer sequences with tons of variation at your fingertips. Voltera is a voltage expander module for the METRON trigger and gate sequencer and adds 4 bipolar voltage tracks in 4hp. Up to 16 Volteras can be added to a single METRON giving you up to 64 CV Sequencing lanes for your Eurorack modular system! With independent voltage ranges and quantize settings per track, Voltera allows for real time control over 4 different parameters at once, allowing you to dial that track to the parameter you are sequencing. Sequence melodies, modulate parameters, and more with ease by adding Voltera to your METRON set up.
