One thing I find very hard for me to do is knowing when to not draw certain parts of the body. That other leg seems to just hide behind the body so well and pop out. Not sure how to ask for tips on that…

That's so funny that you say that because I struggled back and forth between drawing the knee popping out from his abs or not (the way you see it now.) For me what it comes down to is a mix of what looks better to me, and also whether or not the pose your going for is still readable. In this instance I though that the pose was still readable even without the rest of the leg showing up on the other side of his body, which to be fair is probably what would realistically be depicted in this pose and from that angle, but I figure less is more in this instance. As far as how how to get to a place where you're able to make those decisions? It depends on the pose really. You're right, it's hard to even give advice on this. 😂 But I'd say, if it's behind the body, leave it out. If it still looks wonky, try it both ways, and see which looks better to you!

Yeah if it were a tutorial it might just have to be called: “Making the pose read better” or something like that

Honestly, that tutorial would consist mainly on silhouette work. When in doubt, black it out. If you can tell what's happening in the pose, you're on the right path. I'll leave this noted!
