Announcement. Change is afoot! (Patreon)

Hey, everyone. So, I'm just gonna cut to the chase! I'm getting rid of the $10 tier. I just don't feel right charging that much for what you've been getting thus far. I've already unpublished the tier and will be deleting it altogether soon. Soooo:

To everyone who's subbed to the $10 tier, if you'd like to continue being my Patron, please switch your pledge over to the $5 tier. That will now be the one and only tier. The $10 tier will be deleted on the 16th of May. I don't want you to be charged $10 again so please switch over when you have the chance. If you'd like to take this chance to cut and run, THANK YOU FOR THE SUPPORT. Sincerely, it was a pleasure. Go ahead and make that decision after what I'm goint to say in this post. I will message everyone in the $10 tier before and after it's deleted just to make doubly sure that you don't get charged for that again.

As for the change coming to the Patreon:

There will now be one poll a month as opposed to the two I've been doing. For some of you that may have already been the case, but for me, I've been doing two polls a month, one for each tier, one for a written tutorial and one for a video.

If I may get a bit candid here for a second, the responsibility and pressure to create nothing but "content" every day for Patreon is starting to slowly eat away at my desire/motivation to create art. It's something that I've realized over the years about my relationship with art in that I have the most fun drawing simply when I'm able to draw whatever I want, and for some reason starting and running this Patreon sometimes makes me feel like I'm not able to do that. I know that that's not really the case, and that no one is forcing me to draw any one particular thing, but the truth is that I want to do right by you guys so badly for supporting me that I feel like every time I sit down to draw it has to be a tutorial, or a guide or something worth your money. Guys, it's exhausting, and I feel like I need to SLOW DOWN. I'll do anything to preserve the joy I have for creating art and this is the step and compromise that I'm going to take for myself, I hope you can understand. 🙏🙏 That's all really that I have to say about that.

As for how that one poll works? I'm gonna have to figure that out. I've been thinking that I'd do a live-stream about whatever topics you guys vote on and discuss said topics that way. Sort of like workshop or a video class! If you had any specific questions I could address them right there in the stream and we could all just hang out! I'll still take some notes about things to talk about in the event that no one shows up and it'll just be a regular video with my face in it now! Lol. OR if you prefer the written tutorial way I've been doing them, I can do that too!
