Bit of background on Norlu:The seventh to be discovered amongst the Divine 8, he emerged from the deepest and darkest abyss in all the universe, The Black Dimension. An uninhabitable, barren wasteland where Devils rule supreme. Many believe him to be the physical manifestation of evil itself, and thus he was the least revered of the pantheon. Looking to prove himself an ally to the Universe, Norlu transformed The Black Dimension into a max security prison for Devils and criminals across the Universe. However it wasn't until Norlu used his own body as a cell for the purest evil the universe has ever known T'an-Mo, the King of Devils, did the Universe accept him as a God worthy of worship. Now burdened to harbor the cursed soul of T'an-Mo, Norlu himself is cursed to an eternal struggle between good and evil, for if his own spirit wavers, the King of Devils may once again roam free. Some believe the blackness of his eyes is T'an-Mo looking back at you.

I was actually thinking about this guy the other day. Honestly, all nine of them are super cool and they've been slowly taking up more rent in my head.

I imagine they're a lot like typical gods, or supes. They constantly converge, but they're all very busy doing their own thing. But viewing them more like archetypes makes the interactions way more interesting. Like, how does Norlu: God of Light and Dark react to finding out life and spirits are two separate entities? Does he have an equal relationship with the two? If the gods draw power from one another, that changes their relationship as well. Sorry for text wall 🤣😅

You're right they're all very different, but the same in many aspects. They all have their own responsibilities in maintaining balance within the Universe, but occasionally do require assistance as say the Goddess of Life can't necessarily pacify an issue meant for the God of Time. It's like Justice League or the Avengers in that sense. They're all their own individuals with their own stories, but when there is a threat big enough, they will come together to deal with it. As for Norlu, specifically, I'd say he has a closer relationship to Penemu (Goddes of the Spirit Realm) than Ziva as the two of them (Norlu and Penemu) have similar life experiences. Both were feared initially and they both had to work for their acceptance in a way. I'd think Norlu was in a way relieved to know that Life and Death shared a role in the battle between good and evil, like himself! I fell in love with the concept of The Ninth 'cause it made for interesting character psychoanalysis. Like what would be the journey of Time if Time itself was a person like the rest of us? Or the void that we all live in like Orion with Space? It's neat stuff, in my humble opinion!

I agree, it's a fascinating setup you have. I would like to recommend the Enneagram as an invaluable resource for exploring these kinds of characters
