While working on that last piece with Bebop and Rocksteady, which was usually late at night, I'd have some slow and easy listening jazzy songs on my playlist (kinda fit the mood, for the piece and time of day). One song that came up a few times was Plastic Love, the cover version by Friday Night Plans. I don't know why, but that song stuck with me the whole time I was working on that piece. And after the piece was posted, and I started getting comments on it (mainly, how everyone really wants them or believes them to be a couple), I started getting ideas for a new drawing, partly inspired by that song. And so here they are, dancing to the plastic beat. ✨🌃🌙🌠---Updated, 11.10.25While looking over the piece I realized I made a sliiiiiiiight mistake on the background. One of the background buildings was a little too big, based on where this view of Tokyo Tower is. There's not a real street looking down at Tokyo Tower from this angle, but the taller buildings in the background are based on real life buildings, as is their real-life placement / position in this view. So I went back in and scaled down the tower a bit to match what it would look like from this view. Some revised copies can be found on the end of this photo set.
