Hey guys, Adam's new video is out now and features my segment on Jimmie Rivers as well as contributions from a handful of other very fine YouTube guitarists! It's always a pleasure to collaborate with Adam and I'll be featuring him on my channel very soon too.

Please do head over to the video and drop a like and perhaps leave a comment too.. we'd both greatly appreciate it! 🙏🏻

I've attached the materials below for anyone who missed my initial post about this a few weeks back. Some really great licks to get your fingers around and flesh out that bop/swing/blues vocab!

For anyone who missed our collab video from last year, here's the link to that also;

Guitar INSPIRATION & APPRECIATION: Who Are Our Heroes' HEROES?

I recently asked six of my esteemed guitar pals to talk about an under-appreciated player who means a lot to them. They each delivered a beautiful video essay on a player who inspires them over and over. Huge thanks for their generous contributions to this episode. 0:00 Introduction 01:54 @AlexFarranGuitar on Jimmie Rivers 07:18 @EricHaugenGuitar on Television (Tom Verlaine & Richard Lloyd) 10:04 @kirkfletcher2845 on Eric Gale 14:54 @Guitargate on @JackRuch 18:59 Mick Taylor (@ThatPedalShow) on @JohnLeventhalMusic 25:44 @richhinmanmusic on David Hidalgo (@LosLobos) 40:00 @AdamLevyGuitarTips on @rycooder482 I wanted to make a playlist featuring all of the songs mentioned here. Jimmie Rivers' music is unfortunately not available on Spotify, but you can find a lot of his music here: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLe3QJLGq3DD0MtQkEfdrh9kjGFu3NK4qw&si=Z07UiJKDWko137-t. Likewise, Jack Ruch is easier to find on YouTube than on Spotify. Michael Palmisano's earlier video on Jack is a great place to start: https://youtu.be/icFCzYVSMG0?si=uy-VR-WGlM3R-ika Here's the live Cooder clip I mention: https://youtu.be/pRAg7ixYaeE?si=iNqSQ5D4PesDX07w The rest of the songs everyone talks about are here: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3IKOPvAfk5V8rKRb9qgg9L?si=a555257304784918 Thank you for Subscribing, Liking, Sharing. 💥 ► Patreon 🎸: https://bit.ly/3fi6Prf ► TrueFire courses 📺: https://bit.ly/3r1TgWL ► YurtRock loops 🎧: https://bit.ly/30olvDA ► 'Shell Chords’ book 📘: https://bit.ly/3NMY2SS ► 'String Theories' book 📗: https://amzn.to/3u1PbVW ► Newsletter 📧: https://bit.ly/3Hl01Zt ► Live shows: https://www.adamlevy.com/live ► Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/adamlevyguitar/

Great video! Of course I love your piece on Jimmie Rivers but also Eric’s tribute to Tom Verlaine and Richard Lloyd. We just saw Richard Lloyd play last weekend!

Congratulations Alex, onward and upward! A great collection, of players. Man I also love Television, David Hidalgo, and Ry Cooder. It should have been Mick Taylor on Mick Taylor!

Thanks buddy, I appreciate that! Haha indeed, Mick missed a trick there! 🤣

Philip Chanidis

Love it all, but man that Television album you just kinda new hey something special is going down here that only happens infrequently and you hold it dear in its authenticity-timeless to my ears all these years later-drop the needle and boom it grabs you.

Absolutely agreed buddy, I’ll always remember my Dad putting that on in the car when I was little.. The Modern Lovers and Wire too.. amazing stuff with that similar vibe 👌🏻😍

Ian Cowan

Hi...is there a problem with you tube? None of your videos are playing Alex - either on Patreon or on your your tube channel...

Alex Farran Guitar

Hi Ian, I think the problem must be at your end.. everything is working just fine! Could be worth opening YouTube in a fresh window and signing out and back in again, then try reloading everything. 👌🏻

Thanks Alex.... seems to be good now. Sorry to trouble you... need my lesson fix :)
