Adam Levy ft. JHS - History of Jazz Guitar Tones! (Patreon)

Jazz Guitar Tone From 1939-1999 w/ Adam Levy (Norah Jones, Tracy Chapman, Amos Lee)

Adam Levy — guitarist, composer, and former member of Norah Jones's band — traces the complete evolution of jazz guitar tone from the 1930s through today. Starting with Charlie Christian's raw electric bark, through the clean post-war sound, psychedelic fusion, and the modern attack of Bill Frisell, Adam demonstrates each era live using JHS pedals. The episode closes with Adam's own touring rig: everything he brings to make any amp on earth sound like his.
