Hey guys, so as you know, up until now I've always compressed all lesson materials into one zip file for you to unpack, but I wonder if it'd be preferable for me to upload the individual files instead of packing them into a zip?.. what do you reckon?.. any preference? Let me know in the comments. Thanks all! Alex :)

I love zipped lesson materials! So much easier to delete what I don’t want than select all the bits I do care about…

Alex Farran Guitar

Thanks Roi, I appreciate the feedback. I had assumed a single zip file would make things a little easier but happy to do what the masses prefer!.. or both!

Roi Driscoll

Maybe both is the answer if you’re happy to oblige!

Ralph Lyle

zip as per Row Driscoll

Thom Osborne

I think the zip is super easy to use even if viewing from your phone, but honestly whatever is easiest for you.

Alex Farran Guitar

That's good to know Thom.. one of the reasons I asked about this is I'd had feedback from one patron saying they can't open the zip file on their phone. Perhaps an anomaly.

Jonathan Fowles

As most of above, zip simpler and (slightly!) preferable for me.

DENNIS CHUGH

Zip works, my preference is to have the live performance embedded into the GP file and sync'd up if that's possible. Much better than the midi guitar tones.

David

Whatever is easiest to you works for me

Robert Goodale

Zip works for me, + as per Roi’s comments.

MarkF

Zip works just fine for me thanks

Alex Farran Guitar

Thanks for the feedback my friend. Sure thing, whenever it’s a track I’ve played to a backing or click I will drop it into the guitar pro file itself. More tricky if it’s a loosely played chord melody but I’ll still do my very best to align it to fit 👍🏻

Damian Gibbins

Now that I have it worked out zip is good. The folder keeps everything neat

Luke Hodgkins

I love the zip Alex, super quick and easy to organise on my computer

George

Yep, I'm a zip fan.

Cad Zoots, Zips are good...

Zips are good. Although I’ve recently started using an iPad so it took me a while to work out how to extract the files (being so used to windows). It might be an idea to post instructions for iOS users. FYi when using the patreon app on iOS you need to hit the download button and then click on the add to reading list option. Then you need to download via the safari browser before unpacking the zip. It’s a bit of a faff , however it’s nice that it’s contained in a folder.

Alex Farran Guitar

Thanks Kyle, that’s very useful to know. I’ve made a note of that and will pass it on to anyone struggling to open the zip files.

Zip is less file manipulation. Download 1 file. Unzip files into a Folder that I don't have to create.

jazz

zip files thank you

I’m having huge issues accessing zip files from the Patreon app. I’m on their web site now searching for the lesson. Found it says download all files then jumps to the top of the collection urrrgh
