L'offerta (Patreon)

Buongiorno miei carissimi Patreons!

Good morning my dear Patreons!

Today I am very happy to tell you what happened to me last week; but let's start from the beginning.

The work you see above: "The Offer", is the first shot created together with my partner for a calendar that I am creating wanting to blend natural decorative elements with female arms and hands. This photograph represents the month of May, and was taken by collecting poppies all afternoon, and then using the petals as a background and a flower as the protagonist (along with the arm and hand of my partner) of the shot.

Happy with the result, I sent online the photo to some free photo competitions, to gauge the public's impressions and feedback: well, all of this went beyond my wildest expectations.

In fact, I was contacted by the manager of the famous art gallery in Via Margutta, in the historic center of Rome (what is called the "artists' street"), and I was warmly invited to exhibit my work during the next national exhibition which will be held from July 24th to August 8th! Furthermore, the work will also be put on sale during the exhibition.

I'll let you imagine my pride since it was the first time I had ever sent a photo to an online competition. The prestige of such an opportunity is undisputed, and I really hope that this is only the first of a series of immense satisfactions that photography would give me in the future.

What do you think of the work? Write me in the comments too!!
