Buongiorno carissimi Patreons!

Gli scatti che vi propongo oggi sono stati per me una vera sorpresa quando li ho editati e finalizzati per la pubblicazione. Infatti devo dire che in fase di scatto queste foto non mi erano piaciute moltissimo: provare a ritrarre una modella in una luce del genere, dove le folgie gettano ombre confuse e disturbanti sulla pelle per giunta chiara della ragazza, è davvero molto difficile. Nonostante il mio fantastico Sigma ART 85mm si sia comportato al solito egregiamente per quanto riguarda la nitidezza ed il bokeh non riuscivo a trovare un modo per valorizzare questi scatti in post produzione e renderli più accattivanti.

Ebbene la svolta è stata applicare la vignettatura più estrema che io abbia mai applicato con lightroom in tanti anni di fotografia! Infatti impostando il valore al minimo sono riuscito a scurire moltissimo i bordi dell'immagine, dando all'occhio un aiuto nel concentrarsi sul soggetto dell'immagine (in questi casi il volto della ragazza) senza farsi distrarre da fogliame sfocato o chiaroscuri confusionari sulla pelle.

P.S. Un piccolo trucco per rendere ancora più precisa questa lavorazione? Non applicare una vignettatura simmetrica! Ora che ci penso credo di non aver MAI applicato una vignettatura simmetrica in tutta la mia carriera di fotografo.

The shots that I show you today were a real surprise for me when I edited them and finalized them for publication. In fact, I must say that I didn't like these photos very much in the first place: trying to portray for good a model in such a harsh light where the leaves cast confusing and disturbing shadows on the pale skin, is very difficult indeed. Although my fantastic Sigma ART 85mm performed admirably as usual in terms of sharpness and bokeh, I couldn't find a way to enhance these shots in post production and make them more captivating.

The really great thing was to apply the most extreme vignetting that I have ever applied with Lightroom in many years of photography! In fact, by setting the value to the minimum I managed to darken the edges of the image a lot, giving the eye some help in focusing on the subject of the image (in these cases the girl's face) without being distracted by blurry foliage or confusing shadows on the skin .

P.S. A little trick to make this process even more precise? Do not apply symmetrical vignetting! Now that I think about it, I think I have NEVER applied a symmetrical vignette in my entire career as a photographer.
