È stato uno di quegli shooting che mettono alla prova. Preparazione, impegno, gestione di imprevisti… ma alla fine ho portato a casa degli scatti che valgono davvero ogni energia spesa.

Piena di energia e consapevolezza: così definirei Sofia, con la quale ieri siamo riusciti a realizzare tutti e quattro i set del progetto che avevamo costruito nel dettaglio nelle scorse settimane, regalandoci anche un set bonus scattato solo per voi.

All’inizio siamo partiti in salita; sia io che Sofia dovevamo trovare il nostro ritmo, creare un dialogo sul set che non è arrivato come un colpo di fulmine improvviso. “Identità frammentata” aveva un concept complesso da rendere fotograficamente, e abbiamo dovuto percorrere più strade prima di trovare quella giusta. Quando finalmente gli scatti hanno iniziato a parlare, ho capito che il progetto stava prendendo forma davvero.

Con “Disgregazione” siamo saliti entrambi di livello. Sofia aveva preparato da sola outfit e trucco, dimostrando talento, gusto e originalità nel trasformare un’idea in immagine – questo set è nato dalla sua visione. Io mi sono lasciato travolgere dalla sua energia, modellando la luce per scolpirne i movimenti in un istante congelato. POV particolari, sequenze dinamiche, tensione e controllo: quando abbiamo riguardato gli scatti sul display, l’entusiasmo ci ha travolti e la connessione è diventata evidente.

Con “Istinto” – il più minimale e forse il più concettuale dei quattro – ho agito davvero da regista. Ho modificato asset che non mi convincevano, eliminato props che avevo previsto, cercato il senso del set da un’altra prospettiva. Ne sono usciti scatti più intimi, silenziosi, primordiali, forse ancora più istintivi di quanto avessi immaginato.

E poi “Sottrazione”. Qui Sofia si è abbandonata alla luce e la sua silhouette ha regalato ritratti magnetici, pose dolci e irresistibili, di quelle che restano. Un velo delicato avvolgeva la sua figura mentre si muoveva con gesti misurati e una dolcezza ipnotica. Non è stato un set perfetto: è stato un set vero. Ed è proprio questa verità che lo rende potente.

Insomma, un lavoro intenso che ci ha lasciati stanchi ma profondamente soddisfatti. Quando due visioni riescono a intrecciarsi senza forzarsi, nasce qualcosa di vivo. E questo progetto è vivo.

It was one of those shoots that truly test you. Preparation, focus, unexpected changes… but in the end I brought home images that are absolutely worth every ounce of energy spent.

Full of energy and awareness: that’s how I would describe Sofia. Yesterday we managed to complete all four sets of the project we had carefully built over the past weeks, and we even added a bonus set created exclusively for you.

We started uphill; both Sofia and I needed to find our rhythm, to create a dialogue on set that didn’t immediately explode like a lightning strike. “Fragmented Identity” was conceptually challenging to translate into photography, and we had to explore different directions before finding the right one. When the images finally began to speak, I knew the project was truly taking shape.

With “Disintegration” we both stepped up. Sofia prepared her outfit and makeup entirely on her own, showing not only artistic talent but also taste and originality in turning an idea into something visual – this set was born from her vision. I allowed myself to be carried by her energy, shaping the light to sculpt her movements into frozen instants. Unique POVs, dynamic sequences, tension and control: when we reviewed the shots together on the camera screen, the enthusiasm was undeniable and our connection became real.

With “Instinct” – the most minimal and perhaps the most conceptual of the four – I truly acted as a director. I changed setups that didn’t convince me, removed props I had initially planned, and searched for the essence of the set from a different angle. The result: more intimate, silent, primal images, perhaps even more instinctive than I had imagined.

And then “Subtraction.” Here Sofia surrendered to the light, and her silhouette gave life to magnetic portraits and irresistibly delicate poses – the kind that stay with you. A soft veil wrapped around her figure as she moved with measured gestures and hypnotic sweetness. It wasn’t a perfect shoot. It was a real one. And that truth is what makes it powerful.

An intense collaboration that left us both tired but deeply satisfied. When two visions intertwine without forcing each other, something alive is created. And this project is alive.
