The sunlight filtered through the curtains and fell on her so naturally that, for a moment, I almost stopped shooting.

I still remember that quiet spring day, the warmth of the light in my bedroom, and her, lying there, smiling and beautiful, glancing at me as she moved gracefully between the sheets.

I still remember the first time I saw one of her photos on social media. I was literally spellbound. A girl with such a soft and delicate face, someone who didn’t smile often, but when she did, she lit up everything around her. And then that incredible silhouette, the kind that takes your breath away. It felt impossible to me that a beauty like hers had not already been established as an internationally known model. And yet she was there — real, true, simply wonderful.

When she agreed to a completely uncovered shoot — the first she had ever done — it almost felt too good to be true. And yet, the moment she stepped into my home, everything unfolded with disarming naturalness. I still remember her walking barefoot from room to room: the sunlight reflecting on her milk-toned skin, and that light, sheer robe doing nothing but intensifying the presence of her body, as if every ray passed through her only to return her to the eye even more vividly.

As for me, I could do nothing but orbit around her with my camera, like a satellite. There was something in her movements — the way she touched herself, laughed, brushed her hair aside — that deeply moved me. And I still have never fully understood whether it was the awareness of being chosen as the only photographer she trusted to reveal herself completely, or the absolute naturalness with which everything was happening, without pressure, without construction.

That shoot with Nyssa always reminds me how privileged I am. Some days don’t just leave a memory: they stay with you, they change the way you see, photograph, and feel.

And maybe that’s exactly what you can sense when looking back at those images.

Because what you see here is only a small part of that day.

The rest — more than 200 shots — is something that has to be experienced fully, stepping into that moment, that light, and that connection we created together.
