Skin that stretches, bends, yields to the weight of the body.Light strikes it, wood interrupts it, gravity follows every subtle shift.
In “Attraversare”, Sofia does not appear polished, corrected or distant: she is there — alive, real, unprotected.Every shift of form, every minimal change of pose, every point where flesh meets light makes this set impossible to dismiss with a quick glance.
If what you love most about Sofia is her truest naturalness, this is a post you should not miss.

Buongiorno carissimi FANATICs,

🇬🇧
Good morning my dear FANATICs,
if form evokes, suggests, leaves room for imagination… it is matter that truly dominates.
Skin.Flesh.The real weight of the body moving through space.
This is what struck me while shooting Attraversare with Sofia B.
Sofia has a real body, fully present, never polished. And precisely because of that, in front of the lens, it becomes something deeply powerful. Every gesture, every pose, every small movement returns a sensuality that does not come from perfection, but from authenticity.
This backstage video, which I’m sharing exclusively with you FANATICs, is meant exactly for this: to show in full what the final photographs can only hint at. The way the skin reacts to light, the natural weight of the forms, gravity accompanying movement, the living softness of the body as it interacts with the scene.
And then there is the contrast at the core of the set: on one side the biological, soft, warm, bare matter of Sofia’s body; on the other the wood — rough, rigid, almost motionless. A meeting of opposite surfaces and natures that, in my view, made this one of the strongest projects we have created together.
Even the relationship between Sofia and me, during this shooting, became more relaxed and more complicit. And I think you can feel that in the video: there is a growing naturalness, a trust that gives space to something very simple, but also very rare to witness so clearly.
To this day, it probably remains the best set we have created together.
I’m curious to know whether, watching this backstage, you also felt this very concrete force of matter and body… or whether a different detail is what stayed with you.
Let me know in the comments.
