Buongiorno miei carissimi FANATICs!

Oggi arriva il nuovo Cinematic Tuesday dedicato a Manuela: The Making of Untamed Grace.

Questo backstage, per me, è uno dei più interessanti pubblicati finora, perché racconta il primo ingresso in studio di una modella davvero diversa dalle altre. Manuela non è arrivata sul set con quell’energia tutta gag, battute, confidenza immediata con la telecamera. È entrata in un altro modo: più composta, più teatrale, più sostenuta. Non distante, anzi. Semplicemente molto dentro quello che stava facendo.

E questa cosa si percepisce in ogni gesto. Manuela arriva dal teatro, dalla danza, dall’interpretazione, e porta tutto questo dentro il set senza doverlo dichiarare. Ogni posa sembra nascere da un personaggio, ogni movimento ha un peso preciso. Anche quando le immagini diventano più coraggiose, lei mantiene sempre quella qualità scenica che mi ha colpito fin dai primi minuti.

La cosa più bella, però, è che dentro questa compostezza c’era una voglia enorme di spingersi oltre. Untamed Grace partiva da un’idea molto aulica, raffinata, quasi classica, ed è probabilmente proprio questo ad averla attratta. Ma appena abbiamo iniziato a lavorare, Manuela non si è limitata a seguire la direzione: ha iniziato a metterci del suo, suggerendo pose, cercando soluzioni, portando il set verso immagini molto più forti di quanto lasciasse immaginare l’atmosfera iniziale.

E questa è la cosa che rende il video davvero prezioso.

Perché voi qui non vedete soltanto il backstage di un set già pubblicato. Vedete il momento in cui io stesso capisco che Manuela può cambiare registro in modo sorprendente: partire da una grazia morbida, quasi divina, e arrivare a immagini molto più decise, più presenti, più cariche di carattere.

Untamed Grace conta 99 fotografie, e già questo vi fa capire quanto materiale sia venuto fuori da questo primo capitolo. Ma la cosa incredibile è che, rispetto a quello che arriverà dopo, questo è ancora uno dei momenti più controllati dello shooting.

Nei prossimi contenuti vedrete una Manuela ancora più libera, ancora più intraprendente, ancora più capace di portare ogni concept in una direzione personale. Però qui c’è l’origine di tutto: il primo set, i primi sguardi, le prime pose, le prime intuizioni, il momento esatto in cui una modella entra nel mio immaginario e comincia a trasformarlo insieme a me.

Per questo considero The Making of Untamed Grace un backstage fondamentale.

Manuela non stava semplicemente posando: stava prendendo possesso del ruolo.

E io, dietro la camera, ho capito quasi subito che quello shooting mi avrebbe dato molto più di quanto avevo previsto. 🎥

Good morning my dear FANATICs!

Today comes the new Cinematic Tuesday dedicated to Manuela: The Making of Untamed Grace.

For me, this is one of the most interesting backstage videos published so far, because it shows the first entrance into the studio of a model who is truly different from the others. Manuela did not arrive on set with that immediate energy made of jokes, banter and instant confidence with the camera. She entered in another way: more composed, more theatrical, more poised. Not distant, quite the opposite. Simply very much inside what she was doing.

And you can feel this in every gesture. Manuela comes from theatre, dance and interpretation, and she brings all of that into the set without needing to declare it. Every pose seems to come from a character, every movement has a precise weight. Even when the images become bolder, she always keeps that scenic quality that struck me from the very first minutes.

The most beautiful thing, though, is that inside this composure there was a huge desire to go further. Untamed Grace started from a very elevated, refined, almost classical idea, and that is probably exactly what attracted her to it. But once we began working, Manuela did not simply follow the direction: she started adding something of her own, suggesting poses, searching for solutions, taking the set towards images much stronger than the initial atmosphere would have suggested.

And that is what makes this video truly precious.

Because here you are not just watching the backstage of a set already published. You are watching the moment when I myself understand that Manuela can shift register in a surprising way: starting from a soft, almost divine grace, and arriving at images that are much more decisive, more present, more full of character.

Untamed Grace counts 99 photographs, and that already gives you an idea of how much material came out of this first chapter. But the incredible thing is that, compared to what will arrive next, this is still one of the most controlled moments of the shooting.

In the next contents, you will see an even freer Manuela, even more enterprising, even more capable of taking every concept in a personal direction. But here is the origin of everything: the first set, the first glances, the first poses, the first intuitions, the exact moment when a model enters my imagery and begins to transform it together with me.

That is why I consider The Making of Untamed Grace a fundamental backstage.

Manuela was not simply posing: she was taking possession of the role.

And behind the camera, I understood almost immediately that this shooting would give me much more than I had expected. 🎥
