Buongiorno miei carissimi FANATICs!

Oggi arriva il nuovo Cinematic Tuesday dedicato a Veronica: The Making of Pure White, Pure Beauty.

Questo backstage per me ha un valore particolare perché non racconta soltanto la realizzazione di Pure White, Pure Beauty, ma anche una parte dedicata a THE BODY. La luce è la stessa, ma cambia il modo di guardare: prima il corpo viene cercato come forma, linea, volume; poi Veronica torna protagonista dentro un set più luminoso, morbido, essenziale.

È un video minimale, ma proprio per questo molto forte.

Non ci sono outfit, scenografie o elementi esterni a costruire l’immagine. C’è Veronica davanti alla luce continua, ci sono le pose, ci sono le mie indicazioni e quel lavoro fatto di piccoli spostamenti, torsioni, correzioni minime, dettagli quasi impercettibili che però cambiano completamente una fotografia.

Nelle foto finali tutto sembra pulito, naturale, inevitabile. Nel backstage, invece, si vede la costruzione: il modo in cui si cerca una linea, si sistema una posa, si cambia un’inclinazione, si passa da THE BODY a Pure White, Pure Beauty senza cambiare davvero mondo, ma solo modo di guardare.

E poi c’è Veronica.

Concentrata, elegante, disponibile, capace di stare dentro un set così essenziale senza perdere mai presenza. Anche nei momenti più semplici ha quella qualità delicata che rende ogni movimento già fotografico. In mezzo al lavoro ci sono anche chiacchiere, qualche commento, una piccola gag tra noi due, e questo rende il backstage ancora più vero, più vicino a quello che succede realmente in studio.

Vi anticipo anche una cosa: dopo questo shooting io e Veronica ci siamo lasciati con l’idea di risentirci per nuovi progetti, non solo fotografici. Lei si è proposta anche per contenuti più didattici, legati alla posa, al ritratto, alla tecnica, forse persino a qualcosa di vicino a un piccolo workshop.

È una direzione che sto pensando seriamente di esplorare.

Good morning my dear FANATICs!

Today comes the new Cinematic Tuesday dedicated to Veronica: The Making of Pure White, Pure Beauty.

This backstage has a special value for me because it does not only show the making of Pure White, Pure Beauty, but also a section dedicated to THE BODY. The light is the same, but the way of looking changes: first the body is searched as form, line, volume; then Veronica becomes the protagonist again inside a more luminous, soft and essential set.

It is a minimal video, but that is exactly what makes it so strong.

There are no outfits, no sets, no external elements building the image. There is Veronica in front of the continuous light, there are the poses, there is my direction, and all that work made of small shifts, torsions, tiny corrections, almost invisible details that can completely change a photograph.

In the final images, everything looks clean, natural, inevitable. In the backstage, instead, you see the construction: the way a line is searched, a pose is adjusted, an inclination changes, how we move from THE BODY to Pure White, Pure Beauty without really changing the world, only the way of looking at it.

And then there is Veronica.

Focused, elegant, open, able to stay inside such an essential set without ever losing presence. Even in the simplest moments, she has that delicate quality that makes every movement already feel photographic. There are also some real studio moments: comments, little conversations, a small spontaneous gag between us, and this makes the backstage even more genuine, closer to what actually happens during a shooting.

I will also tell you something: after this shooting, Veronica and I left with the idea of staying in touch for new projects, not only photographic ones. She also made herself available for more educational content, connected to posing, portraiture, technique, perhaps even something close to a small workshop.

It is a direction I am seriously thinking about exploring.
