A disarming purity.

With Veronica, sometimes very little is truly enough: a precise light, the darkness around her, a net crossing the figure, and that natural elegance that seems to make every pose already complete.

Lightshaped is an artistic black and white set, minimal and extremely refined, built around her silhouette, the lines of her figure, her gaze, and the way she emerges from the shadows, making Veronica even more magnetic.

One of the most refined works I have ever created with her.

Buongiorno miei carissimi FANATICs!

Good morning my dear FANATICs!

Today comes Veronica – Lightshaped, a set I care about very much because it represents a fairly rare choice in my recent work: black and white.

As you know, I almost always tend to work with color, dominant tones, chromatic atmospheres, and contrasts between skin, backdrop, styling and light. In this case, though, as soon as I started looking at the images, I felt that color would have added something unnecessary.

The set was already essential in its construction: Veronica, the darkness, a net, a precise light, and a series of very plastic, clean, elegant poses. Black and white felt like the best way to remove even more and leave only form, contrast, silhouette and that natural grace Veronica always brings in front of the lens.

There is also another reason behind this choice.

Lately I have been observing the work of photographers who use black and white almost exclusively, and I believe this influence is starting to enter the way I look at certain sets too. With Lightshaped, this direction felt especially right, because I felt Veronica could perfectly sustain a more sculptural, drier, more light-focused treatment.

And Veronica, in this act of subtraction, works beautifully.

Without color, without scenery and without needing to add much else, only her presence remains: that graceful silhouette, the way she emerges from the dark, her gaze, the relationship with the net, the ability to make even an extremely minimal composition feel elegant.

For me, Lightshaped is one of the most refined sets I have ever created with her.

I am curious to know what you think of this black and white direction: would you like to see more works like this on the page, or do you prefer when I bring Veronica into richer, more colorful and more constructed sets?
