Who is hungrier?4) Chito Vera is a proven underdog in the UFC (4-5; 20% ROI). He also fought the tougher overall strength of schedule by far.5) Narrative Basis: Miami is cheering for Chito, emblematic Latin warrior, hard working family man, Catholic, fits the demographics of the local market. Press conference cheers for Chito & Ecuador flags. Press pool from Ecuador and a Spanish language Press conference.6) Public is all over O'Malley per Pikkit splits (85+%), but the line isn't moving past -275 (73% implied). In fact, it's coming down on Vera after peaking around +240 🤔7) Sharp books been undercutting Vera ML & all had a notable 10 cent move without seeing a massive uptick in Vera $. This suggests to me the money on Vera is from respect bettors.8) I could realistically see this line closing +200 or below if sharp monet continues to come in. I may look to add live on Chito if he drops early rounds as he has been a historical slow starter but a proven builder in 5 round fights. O'Malley no evidence he can compete over 5 rounds. Unknowns re cardio and durability should push line inherently closer to 50/50. Coupled with Chito previous win & line opening +165, can't help but feel we're getting the best of it long term.
