Hey folks. First and foremost, let me acknowledge my biases. I have made a lot of money betting on Chad Anheliger. That being said, I advised people pass on Chad in his last matchup because I thought it was unfavorable (against Alateng Heili). Now I think this is a winnable fight for Chad, and I'll break down why.Why Chad Anheliger +170?Chad is a solid fighter who will often go under looked / under rated because he doesn't have a massive frame and he is old than the average bantamweight. That being said, Anheliger started his career 2-5 and has since rattled off a record of 10-1 as a professional (8 wins ITD). Anheliger hasn't been finished since 2014 and he has a win via finish over TUF Winner Brady Heistand. Since his last fight Anheliger was awarded his black belt in BJJ (3 wins via SUB, 2 Guillotines, attempting 1 SUB / 15 mins in UFC) and you can see in attached photos he been working on his grappling & takedowns.Chad trains with "Mean" Hakeem Dawodu and a number of serious Canadian professionals at Champions Creed MMA and he recently started his own facility to have more training options in Calgary. I think he will have a smart game plan for closing distance and knocking Johnson down or taking Johnson down to the mat where Chad should have a clear advantage.Chad has a very solid KD rate across his career, an impressive 7-0 record to the KO and 3 KDs in as many UFC appearances. He has good timing with his boxing that allows him to counter hard with meaningful blows.Jose Johnson is the only fighter between the two who has been finished by strikes (KO1 loss). Johnson has been submitted 4 times including as recently as August of 2023 by Da'MonBlackshear. Cartwright death gassed after nearly submitting Johnson in the opening frame (see attached photos). Prediction: Anheliger ITD (Club/SUB Gilly or RNC)
